I concur with my colleagues. This is great stuff and I really appreciate that you put it together for our edification and entertainment. I would love the years 2 - 4 comparisons. That will be the closest thing to a fair comparison across the ages to your already provided per match comparison which as close as possible accounts for differing bracket size. Maybe a "Round of 16 and later in years 2 - 4" would be the ultimate apples to apples comparison.

Lots of them. With boosters available every six months for life. And just as effective as they were for their original intended virus.

No you didn't.

Virtriol and Name Calling On These Boards
Lipdrag replied to Husker_Du's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
Right. There is a movement by Indians to get the name Redskins reinstated. Many bizarre unIndians decided those Indians should be insulted. NAGA is not happy with those flat out obnoxious butt-in-skis. https://www.newsmax.com/finance/streettalk/washington-redskins-native-american-indians/2023/08/11/id/1130461/ -
Virtriol and Name Calling On These Boards

We certainly are a bunch of mostly short insensitive dweebs. The thin skinned sensitive dweebs with normal looking ears are on the basketball and USWNT soccer forums ('scuse me, fora). -
My pithy and quite brilliantly paradoxical statement is precisely right but you should curb your enthusiasm. Your anecdotally being in the far left tail of the bell curve does nothing to counter the truth that men (as a population) have an athletic advantage over women (as a population). The means and distributions of the athletic capabilities are distinctly different which allows a merely above average male to be dominant when competing against elite females. So, it is ABSOLUTELY TRUE that men (not a particularly left tail of the bell curve individual man) have an unfair advantage over women (admittedly, not Wonder Woman, Amazons, nor Valkyries) in almost every athletic endeavor which rewards speed, size, strength, explosiveness, and aggression to be successful.

The concept of probable cause and the need for search warrants are EXACTLY opposed to your sentiment here. "If you did nothing wrong you should not mind the police pulling you over randomly just to ensure your papers are in order". "If you did nothing wrong you should not have to worry about the STAZI taking a look through all of your household belongings and effects every other week". NO NO NO a thousand times NO. Granting the temporary powers of investigation to a body is very dangerous and can be abused (has been abused without fail) even without wrongdoing by citizens. Even if I have nothing to hide, Mr. FBI, you may not look to satisfy your own curiosity. This is a basic tenet of freedom and the rights inherent in humans based solely on our status as humans.

He will make up the difference from the bribes anyway. You think he's on vacation? No way - he's spending 40% of his time shaking down oligarchs worldwide and providing them with the "illusion of access"! This man is BRILLIANT.

Absolutely. By the terminology of today: Speech = violence. Silence = violence. At all times I am either talking or I am not therefore I am, by definition, Violent. Extreme? Of course. I regularly use terms like Man, Woman, Boy, Girl, Mom, Dad, America. I think the Constitution is pretty cool and we hardly even use it anymore so it is like new. I also use gas stoves, incandescent lights, eat meat and not bugs (not on purpose, anyway), and believe in merit based college admissions and career advancement. The FBI is monitoring me and now, by extension, everyone on this forum. I also have a streak of grammar extremism. Is being "aloud to take the 5th" possible? Taking the 5th is not speaking (violence, of course) and therefore not aloud. I had the right, permission, and was allowed to take the 5th but I did not have the capability.

Upon further review; nhs67 reinstated. Sound it out. Five words!

it is cute that you think universities have anything to do with academics any longer. UNC had to be forced by the Supreme Court to take academics seriously in its admissions policy. Duke?!? The professors and medical staff at Duke "university" have serially beclowned themselves with SJW hoaxes over lacrosse dancers and denying surgery to children due to vaccine naziism. It would take less than 30 seconds to find rampant seriously non-academic policy or practice or utterance from the Wahoos or GaTech trying to chickify their engineers by lowering the standards and grade inflation but I respect my time too much to do so. " . . . take academics seriously" Cute. Tinkerbell and the Tooth Fairy have some money for your next molar, IX Ripe. P.S. I agree with your handle: Title IX is and always has been over-ripe and has always had the stenches of being developed by fermented and addled brains.

No woke math allowed here.

5 equals 5. Now. Forever.

Yes. This is something I conflated in my earlier post which was sloppy thinking.

Can a professor from State U bet on State U winning? If so, why is this allowed but an 18 year old who is wise enough to vote not be wise enough to bet (not on his own sport/competition)? Can the president of the university bet? Does the 18 year old have more access to inside knowledge than the professor or the president? The 18 year old can spend my money by voting to raise my taxes but he can not spend his own money? AND, we think the an 18 year old betting with insider knowledge (my roommate's boyfriend on the lacrosse team has a sore knee?!?) will skew the Vegas odds? This is all a bucket of spit. All of the moralizers stating "a rhule is a rhule" better never drive 1 mph over the speed limit nor forget to claim all the cash his wife in the garage sale as income on his taxes. Period. P.S. Pete Rose should be in the MLB Hall of Fame.

T-Rex, named Barney, had a carbon flux capacitor, doncha know? He invented all the carbon, then fossilized it, then made it greenhouse our planet exactly 2,000,007 years after he became extinct. Then he made Greta mad. The rest is history. I'm hot and need a break now.

I Want to Take a Job as a High School Wrestling Coach
Lipdrag replied to ILLINIWrestlingBlog's topic in College Wrestling
I have actually thought about how useful shock collars would be in practice. Not for when kids are dogging it but for those times that they are about to do something stupid in a drill or in a live go like reach back on bottom or droop an arm over a shoulder on top. The upsides are tremendous - immediate feedback, no more stopping the wrestling to make a point, I can coach from across the room, we can even set the shock/sound low enough so that the kid is not embarrassed by others knowing he or she has just been coached - again. If only we can get a human rights waiver and a "don't tell your mom" agreement signed I think it will work. -
I liked seeing all of the mat wrestling in the old free style. Freestyle today is simply a takedown fest. The silly little leg lace roll throughs with a guy sitting on his backside through the move just don't signify dominance of actually putting someone's shoulders near the mat. Of course, the ref in the match against the German Turtle did the whole sport a disservice by not stalling him out.

Any post that includes Mars Blackmon and Catholic contrition rites on the same line is genius level work. Oh yeah, and all that analysis, data, details, etc. That was cool too.

A Wrestler's Most Important Ability
