  1. I suspect that any grave turning has to do in response to the people that fail to apply the constitution at all - let alone apply it to modern and integrated circumstances. If modern integrateds want to change the constitution for modern integrated circumstances then let them amend it. Amending is the mechanism for applying the constitution to modern integratedness. Ignoring it like we've done since the early 1900's is not a valid way to apply it to modern integrated circumstances. What modern integrated circumstance is so urgent that it requires a Constitutional Amendment that can be passed? What article of the constitution blocks modern integrateds from life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness?
  2. When an asylum judge has no cases on the docket then the next one gets to come in for a review. Easy peasy. Maybe stack them a bit. Case to review, on deck, in the hole, sort of thing. 3 deep is enough. Works for wrestling meets.
  3. I don't consider legislators "leaders". They are representatives. Additionally, much more important than how we determine our representatives (i.e. democratically on a local basis) is that the representatives have very little authority and the government has very little business. This concept of limited government is the most important aspect of our government and it is one which we seem to have forgotten - or simply chose to ignore at an ever more egregious rate - over a century ago.
  4. I have a slight disagreement with you here. No one is ensured a "say". The checks and balances are in place to ensure the government protects the rights of every individual (we are all a minority of 1). The right to be left alone, not to be infringed, mandated, etc. is the main point of the checks and balances and the whole idea of a limited government. Having a "say" is not as important as other people (even the majority) not having a "say" about me. summing it up - "I'm not the boss of you and you, even you ALL, are not the boss of me or anyone else."
  5. Compromise between two parties: Party 1 is punching Party 2 once every 2 seconds. Party 2 says stop punching me. Compromise Proposal - Party 1 offers to punch Party 2 once every 4 seconds and calls Party 2 names for not accepting the obvious beneficence and logic of the compromise. Note - both parties agreed long ago that no punching would take place.
  6. I think that many covers are better than the originals. Not in this case - Tracy Chapman's version is great. Luke Combs is very very good and I like it quite a bit. Examples of covers being better than the original from the top of my head: - Whitney Houston's "I will always love you". And I do like Dolly Parton's version - Five Finger Death Punch's "Blue on Black". Kenny Wayne Shepard plays in the official video. Great tribute. There are whole websites dedicated to this topic. It is fun to listen to both consecutively.
  7. Or legislation making illegally entering the county illegal once you are illegal entrant number 5001. https://babylonbee.com/news/new-senate-anti-murder-bill-caps-murders-at-5000-per-day
  8. And the 9 member supreme court is fully diversificated. Jews, Catholics, WASPS, Blacks, Latins, Jews (I know, it is a race and a religion), Men, Women. I do not know nor care if any of them are homosexual. I am a bit disturbed that one does not know if she is a woman or not without consulting a biologist. Not a single bit of that diversificatedness of the court members bears one whit on whether something is Constitutional or not.
  9. Confession - I did not read the linked article. But here are my initial questions about the idea: 27 just listening to all the same cases does not seem to pare down the caseload. Therefore is the proposal to we split up the case load to 3 mini-courts of 9? Is caseload then random or based on area of the law - criminal, property, administrative, constitutional, etc? Is there the chance to go 'en banc" and have all 27 hear a case if it is appealed from the sub-set of the court? The constitutionality of a topic is not dependent upon the number of citizens so any argument that the court be expanded inline with population makes no sense. However, the case load topic is interesting.
  10. If only we would never see them again. That would be the second best option. These turds are unflushable. They'll be back.
  11. What is the name of this defensive technique? It is a variation of the Hendricks defensive technique. Hendricks not only was stuck and stuck and stuck but in NF criteria for about a 7 count but the ref ran out of fingers at 2!
  12. This: Indian Leg Wrestling
  13. Bernie (he of the famous weekend at his house) is clearly more active and aggressive than Lewan.
  14. I love it tbh. The green shirts are also sick. I guess you hate the military? /s I love the military. Served. Dad served. Grandfather served. Uncles served. Great uncles served. Father in law served. Niece served. Son is active duty. Even wanted Michigan to beat Iowa. And those singlets were mother-fugly!! Loving the military does not require losing the ability to see.
  15. It seems we have many on this board who know better than the Democratic pro-crime politicians of New York, Massachusetts, Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia, etc that there is no illegal alien problem. Those silly dems. Let's get them on this board so they can find out for sure that there is no problem and it is all in their imagination.
  16. They did. Years ago R's and D's, together passed the laws. Biden's job is to enforce those laws. He won't. He is not asking the R's to help him fix anything. He is asking the R's to be co-conspirators on indemnifying 5,000 illegal acts per day. That is not a fix. That is corrupting someone else to commit the same professional negligence he is committing. How about Congress adopts a resolution stating, "Hey Brandon, Enforce the Law. It is your job"? No grandstanding there and it has a nice ring. Don't even need to be a D or an R to do it. Just have someone read the law and then do it. Easy peasy.
  17. Dude, the organic fuel IS the storage. We don't produce the electricity then hope someone can use it or else we put it in a bottle somewhere. We produce to the demand using compact, transportable, scalable, controllable, releasable on demand, energy which is chemically stored in a naturally occurring organic form. THAT is the storage capacity and it is fantastic.
  18. Trump sexually assaulted me. I don't know when. I was wearing clothes I bought 10 years later. Yeah, time travel is a thing. I do know that it happened in New York because that's where the changed statue of limitations helps me remember better. And I dare him to defame me by calling me a liar. I can use $83 million. I double dog dare him.
  19. An oldie but a goodie. Start watching at 1:15 for the brilliance. The deadpan response from the admiral is priceless.
  20. "The left's open borders rhetoric is pure virtue signaling. All of them believe that the costs of illegal immigration should be born by other people — people like you." Like our colleague on this site who thinks "we" deserve it. Martha's Vineyard Blues vote like they love illegal immigration so long as Americans in fly-over country have to deal with the catastrophe. Now I am starting to realize what they mean. It is not that all Americans deserve to have an uninvited reparations deserving person from 100+ countries right next to them right now. They think that all Americans who Love America deserve to have a reparations deserving person from 100+ countries right next to them. America hating leftie Americans don't like America so they should not have to shoulder any of this deserved personal, direct, local, in our face, reparations receiving people from 100+ countries. How is it that those people coming here sans invitations don't realize this fact?
  21. We are the federales. You know, the climate science police. If you are the scientists where are your data? Data?!? We ain't got no data. We don't need no data!!! I don't have to show you any stinkin' data!!
  22. In the same universe where men can menstruate. Natch. Sheesh, dude, you aren't even trying? Do I have to give other examples of things that happen in that universe?
  23. Same way this guy was turned into a grease spot. Continue until proxy grandmas and grandpas decide they like their grandchildren (adult grandchildren, of course, because no one would dare use children as shields) to stay alive better than they like being Iranian stooges. Proxies won't listen to us. They will listen to their grandparents and parents. Those people's attitudes are the ones that must be changed. Highly directed energy followed by a change of physical state from solid to liquid and vapor is a very effective way to modify attitudes. All proxies who stay far away from missile sites have nothing to fear. They may proxy along their merry way if they so desire.
  24. I am giving you fair warning that I am going to Claudine Gay this term unashamedly. Yes, she is now a verb. I coined that usage so don't Claudine Gay me by using Claudine Gay as a verb without properly citing me, this date, and this publication. "Say gooders". It is genius. I like it. I want it. It's mine. I am a merry ole hypocrite in these Claudine Gay (adjective usage in this case) matters.
  25. Word. The actual seed number is less important to me than splitting these two. If one of them is #1 then the other is 2 or 3. If MM gets the #1 then I hope these two are 2 or 3 and 4. If the top 4 guys don't crap the bed along the way and only beat each other then the seeding committee has the wiggle room to credibly make this happen. Therefore, committee, make it so. Nuff said.
