  1. This might be the least surprising accusation I've seen.
  2. I assumed since you posted it, you would have some opinion on it that may be your own.
  3. That's a state issue. Texas is the poster child for no regulation and California is the same for over regulation. I've started two(three, but one is just a LLC buying real estate) and...it was VERY easy, very little regulation other than a liquor license.
  4. Cute Tweet. Pick a Metric and show me which one the Republicans are better at than the Democrats? GDP growth? Unemployment? The Stock Market? Growth of the middle class? Where have Republicans done better at handling the Economy than the Democrats? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._economic_performance_by_presidential_party#:~:text=Since World War II%2C the, income growth%2C and corporate profits.
  5. At what point do you? We just had the only President with a 20% drop during a BULL MARKET in in the S&P's HISTORY. At one point when things start falling from the sky do you accept..."yup, seems like the sky IS falling."
  6. Tell me you didn't even hit play without telling me... By the way, this isn't just a person "that just happens to be a professor." Maybe look at who he is and THEN...form an opinion.
  7. I like Bernie...Bernie means well. There's a reason Bernie hasn't won the primaries. But hey, for people that like moderate politics, Cory Bush/Bowman losing, just know...the GOP is NOT going to do well in the Midterms and this will...probably help people of their ilk. If only there was some way to get the point across(as I tried in the post about Reagan) how EVERY tariff isn't bad, it's only across the board tariffs that are damaging. If there was some way for people to read that, digest it, understand it and then stop pointing out how at one time or another a Democrat suggested we put tariffs on China or on...Steel. I remember Tammy Baldwin did that. She passed a law, everything built by the Govt' HAD to be built with American Steel(not quite a tariffs, but...akin to one). But it doesn't seem like people can differentiate these two lines of thinking.
  8. But wait...I don't get it. 30 years ago Pelosi and Shummer said something about tariffs on China and then in 2008 Bernie and McCain agreed, so...hypocrisy, right?
  9. ....yeah, see, Rob, you can complain about me calling people idiots, but there's just no other way to respond to this but to call him a moron. We were in a bull market three days ago. Never once did I say we were going from a bull market to a DEPRESSION within 36 hours. By the way, chances of a RECESSION...if you'll remember, yesterday you mocked THAT idea because it was only 35%...now up to 60%. This is quite literally unprecedented. Only twice has there a 10% drop in the SPX. Under Bush and now under Trump Bush came in during the Dot Com Bubble. When companies were trading for 200 PEs(I'd say good look up what that is, but...this isn't really for you as I understand you don't understand this). The top companies were trading at a ~20 PE, maybe 26. Amazon, a company that's going to earn a trillion dollars one year in the not too distant future, they probably traded at a 35+ PE, but NOTHING like the dot.com era. This? Taking a BULL MARKET and causing a Crash this quickly? It has literally NEVER-HAPPENED.
  10. It's funny, I was watch Fox Business...about a year ago and they were talking about the strength of the market and Tom Lee called it the "roaring 20s." And then the person interviewing said, "well, but remember what came after the roaring 20s," and his response was, "that was brought on by economic policy that we would never bring back again."
  11. Because you specifically said we'll elect someone else in 4 years and predicted what will happen then. So...ya know, it feels kinda relevant that the guy who refused to leave office last time and ONLY actually left because his VP refused to go along with his plan...says he's going to "run" again in 2028.
  12. I'm with you on the 1st....obviously on the 2nd, but you may need to walk me through #3. Are you talking about him deporting the person who was deported despite a judge saying he wasn't to be deported?
  13. Ok, so THIS policy that we're talking about now...thoughts? And we'll ignore how he thinks he can run for another 4 years and serve another term...somehow.
  14. Oh, no, but everyone's up 4%! Don't worry...just the dumbest policy decision in 95 years. The same thing happens every 4 years...(I mean, it doesn't, but lets go with that). And in 4 years, we're going to vote someone new in...unless we don't as Trump has claimed there are "MANY ways for him to run again in 2028." And the same people who say this is no big deal will likely say that's also ridiculous...just as they say him trying to overturn the 2020 election results was "just a little dust up," or equate it to a bunch of idiots in Seattle because...that's the new standard we have for the "Leader of the Free World."
  15. Oh Christ...you want to talk about hypocrisy now?
  16. So...Trump went to Wharton. He said it was the best University. Doesn't sound like they think it's brilliant. "The worst policy blunder in 95 years."
  17. PLEASE say that part LOUDER for the idiots who think that calling for tariffs in 1996 when a couple Democrat were talking about issuing Tariffs on certain industries in CHINA is the same as what we did on "liberation day."
  18. Nobody sees a problem with this? That's 50B, not 500B per basis points over 10 years. And if your Economy Contracts as a result, do you come out AHEAD or behind? 700M to say 50B and our GDP will lose several times that unless Trump can find some trade deals where he declares himself the winner so he can save face...
  19. I'm just confused...do you guys REALLY honestly not see a theme? What Country did they cite? Did they say just blanket tariffs on every country and make those tariffs up. Don't match the tariffs THOSE nations have in place, just come up with the trade deficit we have and divide it by 2 to come up with a tariff for every other Nation? Are they calling for just arbitrary tariffs against EVERY nation including our allies in Canada and Mexico? Or are they calling for TARGETED tariffs? We put tariffs on a country that DOESN'T HAVE ANY PEOPLE LIVING ON IT. We put massive tariffs on a country that has 6,000 people because of a 3.3M trade deficit. -The WORST policy in 95 years. Our Commerce Secretary doesn't know what the actual rates are on China. 54%? What Country, one ONE Country was excluded from the tariffs(while we put tariffs on Penguins)? Russia. But I guess...if we cripple all the economies...that'll work also, right?
  20. I've certainly learned my lesson. My Roth will be where I buy NVDA, META, TSM and my brokerage account will be MORE ETFs and Index funds...though you can only put so much into your Roth, but I'm definitely going to switch it up so that the next time I think NVDA is going to go from 140 to 120, I can sell in my Roth with no penalty(I NEVER would have dreamed it'd get down to 92...I'd be buying that hand over fist as it now trades at a forward PE in the low teens). But that's how I had it set up.
  21. He's an Economic professor from Trump's old University.
  22. https://news.meaww.com/trump-brags-about-attending-wharton-school-internet-reminds-him-of-professors-dumbest-student-remark People DO remember what school he went to, right? Talked about what a great school it was?
  23. The professor from the Best Economic University in the Country. You might want to actually listen...
  24. No, trashed as in said it was a terrible deal. We spent 6.5B AFTER they built and TSMC has one NEW state of the art fab in production, one getting ready to go into production and one scheduled for 2 years. So it's paying off.
