  1. If we're still talking Crookham- twice.
  2. Correct in part. There is a very high percentage of the NPs (non-publics) in the NE. Also, the Shore Conference regions had a very high number of schools compared to the rest of the state. (Population growth in South Jersey trailed that of North for a while then picked up). There were a lot of complaints. So the complainants were given what I think was a good solution (mathematically only- not aesthetically or rivalry-wise). Apparently it worked better to cut the state largely into east west strips. Starting from the south going north (Cape May) they apportioned out publics. Then from the north going south the same with the NPs. And they try to make each district/region similar in terms of power.
  3. Years ago when the Keller twins were arrested, we used the term stripe-shirting! Times and fashions have changed.
  4. He's 18. Turns 19 end of May.
  5. Technically he is an engineer. Financial Engineering
  6. Maybe of 100 Americans
  7. Yes and No. John Grey stepped in initially but by the hearing there was a different lawyer.
  8. Setting up a possible lawsuit from the in-n-out kid especially if they subsequently rule against Knox.
  9. Uhhh, that's how it's been every year since they started this method. It's not about the kids that earned the pre-allocs, it's about the conferences they belong to. That's also why they don't publish the names. Then the post event quals are by name.
  10. District 1 AAA is it's own region. 1 AA mixes with 11 AA. Bergen does get a few from NY but BC is right at the border. They get kids from further away in NJ than from NY.
  11. All 5 of them (which includes 2 from NY)!

  13. I hear that WD has some of the worst fans in general. And SJV had won 10 of the previous 11 weights and so they were getting on SJV's case.
  14. I was told earlier that the rule was simply leaving the area but the one video showed that it was worded during an altercation and took part. Which means that the punches do matter to the NJSIAA. This makes more sense overall. Otherwise kids running into the stands to hug their parents could be subject to dq.
  15. In the one video, you can see Sr walking across in front of the stands and then heading up a few rows. Not good for him. Shows intent and not just heat of the moment.

  17. I'll look again but I had trouble seeing young Anthony in the fray. I don't dispute it since others saw him. About the father, if I saw correctly, it looked like Sr walked across in front of the far-side (from the camera's point of view and not a Gary Larson strip) bleachers to engage the crowd. Some of us talking at an event Sunday figured he was near the anti-SJV antagonists but it looks like he had time to think things through.
  18. Not sure what you're asking. They draw brackets by looking at district results and possibly adding in results from previous years. I haven't been involved with the NJSIAA for a while and I know they've changed seeding procedures a few times. Used to be at states they'd take all the region champs and seed them based on previous year placements, if any and then place the lower placers accordingly. By the final answer, I mean whatever the NJSIAA and the courts rule.
  19. I have no inside info but the brackets were drawn today by people simply looking at results. The decision is simple. He left the playing area. Now the lawyers are involved so we'll see if that changes anything. But as of now no final answer given. If they stick with it, they just move people up the seeding ladder.
  20. My understanding is that there's a video clearly showing the kid going into the stands and throwing punches. The punches would be irrelevant to the NJSIAA decision (but not to the police). However, I believe other kids also went up there. Likely, if one dqed, all that can be identified would also be.
  21. Not unless he actually competes.
  22. Personally, I think he should go. He's basically a boy in the bubble for years. No reason to be confident that things will improve. Might as well do what you can now.
