  1. He got caught for it at NCAAs against Lehigh. https://lehighsports.com/news/2009/12/30/WREST_5292.aspx
  2. Since when is Succasunna/Roxbury, NJ part of Pa?
  3. Best parts of the response- "This decision – in no way – reflects a diminished commitment to athletics," Really? Obviously, that's exactly what it does reflect unless they don't consider wrestling as a part of athletics. The university will continue to honor all scholarships for any impacted student-athletes. Additionally, the university will provide support to any student-athletes in the wrestling program who wish to transfer. Which under the currect NCAA environment means they don't have to do much of anything!
  4. It was the final of the EIWA Columbia-Cornell dual meet!
  5. I can't think of one either. The Roy brothers were at the same weight but didn't wrestle.
  6. Anyone know where brackets are?
  7. Define "right after". Semis Fri PM. Finals Sat PM.
  8. 2nd Jr year- '79
  9. Are some of us talking Angel Rivera or ...
  10. I didn't know the coaches had an 80s/90s music poll going!
  11. The zoom was somewhat vague as you suggest. It was said that defaulting twice didn't mean you would automatically be accepted and that the committee would take two defaults into account when deciding and that someone doing that would be doing so at their own risk (paraphrasing). BTW, I suddenly can't seem to post on the online forum. I'm on Tapatalk here. In the last few hours I suddenly got email notifications from Tapatalk about this post of yours for example which I never got earlier and never asked for. Any ideas? (Anyone not just wkn) Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  12. I assume that since the Coaches Ranking isn't the only factor they can begin figuring out who qualifies without final ranking details.
  13. My take from the zoom is that since no wrestling took place in the combined 3 seconds he shouldn't. But ...
  14. Depends what you mean by alternates. If the replacement situation happens early enough (used to be Monday at 5pm) then I believe they redeclare who is 34th (I assume who would have been 35th) but as to on site- just the one.
  15. First- the scenario I described is quite new. I believe it was created the year after Suriano was somewhere downstairs drilling. But to answer the question, I don't offhand remember that happening, especially in my 20 years doing the bracketing. I might not have noticed before that.
  16. They declare a 34th at each weight. The schools pay to bring them. If someone fails to make weight (or pass skin check) the 34th is also going through the process. I believe they just bump everyone up until the missing seed is filled and then put the 34th in as 33rd.
  17. I can't tell if you're trolling with some of these questions but to get the muscles firing. He's very fast twitch- possibly the quickest guy I've seen in years.
  18. I was on the NCAA zoom last week and this came up. The wording is you must participate. Technically defaults would suffice but what was brought up was that that doesn't mean the committee has to select you. They might well deem that you were showing that you weren't healthy enough to wrestle.
