Cornell match is in Phoenix as the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum, while the Oklahoma match is in Tempe at the ASU arena. I'm (obviously!) looking for the Cornell dual.

I did, and it isn't there. That doesn't mean it won't pop up between now and then.

I managed to score a ticket from a friend who has connections through a particular program (not my favorite school, but close enough!). Is there some way to determine which section(s) have been allocated to which schools, without having the ticket in hand at the moment?

It is *not* on ESPN+. It is on ESPN, ESPNU, and ESPN3. You have to have a TV subscription to something.

Help me out here with Cornell's Ramirez at 165 and Foca at 184. Both wrestled unattached in December, as they were not enrolled at Cornell in the first semester. Both have wrestled five dual meet matches since then (only three before the Coaches Poll, I think), wrestling attached for Cornell; both are 5-0 in those dual meets. Ramirez was 6-1 wrestling unattached in those open tournaments against D1 opponents, and Foca was 3-1 in same. Ramirez appears at #5 at 165, while Foca doesn't appear at all at 184. Intermat has both at 10-1 prior to their two duals this weekend. What's the difference?

From an email from the Cornell AD: other big news unfolded earlier this week when the Ivy League announced that all eight schools will be opting out of the impending NCAA House Settlement. The decision to "not opt in" means the Ivy League schools: Will not change long standing rules, including those that prohibit any form of compensation for participation in any intercollegiate athletics program ("Pay for play"). Will continue to not provide student-athletes with revenue sharing allocations, athletics scholarships, or direct NIL payments; and Will not be subject to the roster limits established by the settlement for NCAA championship sports.

Shapiro (Intermat #2) at 157 and Foca (#7) at 184 also under 8 bout minimum and missing from the poll.

FWIW, in the 2024 NCAA tournament Nebraska scored 10 bonus points (not counting the one MFF they received). Cornell scored 19.5 bonus points. So, 7.5 (counting that MFF) of the 12 point difference between the teams was due to bonus victories. I don't dispute your statement, by the way. Cornell has done well recently at NCAAs by having a few guys score huge points.

Cornell has an annual Giving Day, in which team members call up previous and prospective donors and ask for donations. This year, I got Ethan Fernandez, but the Site Administrator for the Cornell wrestling forum got Greg For what it is worth.

Well, he matriculated the year after Foca and Ramirez, and he took a "medical redshirt" which just means he wasn't enrolled (I guess), so it's possible he still has time. "Four in six" is the rule now, although that may have just been a COVID-year allowance. Clear as mud.

Is there something other than graduating that prevents him from returning to Cornell next year?

Greg D is out for the season. Ungar was supposed to be at the Cyclone Open after descending to 125, but I don't know if he didn't make the trip or didn't make the weight. Perhaps Coach Grey will give more info in his weekly email update in a day or two. The plan (until this weekend) was for Ungar to descend to and remain at 125 this year, and for Ferrera to stay at 133 for the remainder of the season. Did I mention that Ferrera was injured in his second match this weekend (after winning his first over Intermat #20 and ESPN expert Cory Land), and MFFd the following match? No idea what will occur going forward. The best laid plans of coaches and wrestlers gang aft agley...

So, Cory Land doesn't understand how ESPN works wrt college wrestling and announcing. He probably thinks that ESPN rolls up a tractor trailer or two and sets up all the cameras, microphones, and has a dedicated announcing booth staffed with the best announcers.

I see that Shapiro is now only credited with 6.56 bonus points, despite getting two TFs in his two recent matches. Go figure.
