Nobody cares that he is religious. What people care about is his hateful attitude towards the faith of others. The pomposity of believing that his is the only true religion is typical of true believers, and pretty much the antithesis of what his religion actually teaches.

Some of the Cornell guy's had some of the highest RPIs in their weight classes. Ungar #2, Arujau #2, Cornella #6, Ramirez #5, Foca #2.

Yianni had been working with the Cornell staff since junior high school (not to mention training with Vito for years), IIRC. Dake was local to Ithaca, so also spent lots of time there. Coincidence? Off-topic trivia question: who gave Vito his only high school loss?

You know what is dominant? Beating everyone. Only Sanderson has done it better than Yianni. Dominant is never losing in the NCAA tournament, and your conference tournament, and your league, and every tournament you ever entered in college. Yianni could only beat those in front of him ("run-of-the-mill competition"). His freshman year run through Heil, Eierman, and Meredith was as difficult as anyone's. Pretty sure that what anyone achieved in freestyle has f*** all to do with the 4x NCAA champion achievement.

Not a bad performance by a team that was missing four expected pre-season starters by the end of the year (including a returning AA), and only brought seven qualifiers to the tournament. Two champions: one a 4xer, one beating a 2x defending champion. Third place beat a former NCAA champion (Foca over Lewis). Four AAs.

While I agree that the EIWA (not just the Ivy League teams) aren't a threat, Cornell returns everyone except Yianni, who will be replaced with possibly the #1 recruit in the country as a true freshman. They also might get three of their injured starters back next year. Threat to PSU? Probably not.

Whoever wins the last match of the tournament earns the third place trophy. Simple.
