  1. Cornell is pretty easy: 125: Greg D (back from surgery) 133: Vito, duh 141: Cornella 149: Shapiro (that's pronounce "sha-PIE-row") 157: Handlovic (finally at weight) 165: Ramirez 174: Foca 184: Loew 197: Cardenas 285: Fernandes
  2. Not that it will happen, but Cornell has four guys who would qualify: Vito, Cornella, Foca, and Cardenas. Ugh.
  3. Ben Darmstadt had 18 pins his freshman year. Guys stopped choosing bottom against him.
  4. In other words, "if things had been different, things would have been different." Excellent. And Chaz Tucker would like a word.
  5. It's like I kicked your dog or something. And don't deflect onto what I think. This is about *you*. A simple answer might have been "Those losses don't affect my perception of Spencer Lee's greatness." You might then proceed to explain *why*. But, hey...
  6. Where does Spencer's getting pinned twice and losing six matches figure into your calculations?
  7. $$$$$ I thought this was about Yianni.
  8. International goals: people seem to forget that somehow Dake got to be multiple world champion and Yianni got to the WC final while training at Cornell/Finger Lakes/Spartan Combat. Yianni is always giving credit to Mike Grey for his successes. I've noted that people on the PSU forum often say that the PSU graduates are "better" than those from Cornell, as well.
  9. For accuracy, Shapiro is spending his senior HS year training with Spartan Combat. He will be a true freshman in every sense of the word next year at Cornell.
  10. If he counted that, then Eierman would count for like eight alone. AAs: 2023: Demas, Murin, Van Ness, Sasso 2022: Sherman, Murin, Sasso, Lovett 2019: Red, Demas, Eierman, McKenna 2018: Meredith, Eierman, Heil
  11. Yianni beat previous AAs Demas and Sasso, and to-be-minted AAs Van Ness and Murin.
  12. Possibly interesting statistic: Yianni tweeted that of his 20 NCAA tournament wins, 15 were over All-Americans. No idea if that is high, low, or typical. Seems awfully high on first consideration.
  13. Except that the youngest son, George, goes by his father's last name.
  14. There was an Official Review, which (as gimp said on the Lehigh forum) cannot be challenged with a brick toss. From the rule book (emphasis added):
  15. That's how you interpret this? Really? How about "When he's wearing his school's uniform and therefore representing his school, he should be held responsible for what he says?" Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences of that speech.
  16. Vito took down Fix doing exactly this move.
  17. Nobody is disparaging Christianity here. People are disparaging the fact that Brooks insulted two billion people on national TV and are aghast that people here are throwing all sorts of whataboutisms and false equivalencies and irrelevancies to avoid condemning what Brooks said. Seems like all those folks agree with what he did.
  18. No, sorry. Vito retweeted the photo that someone else had marked up.
  19. He should have followed up with "What about Joseph Smith and the Mormons, Aaron? Where do they fit into all of his?"
  20. "His mother, Zhanna Arujava, and his father, Vougar Oroudjov, were both remarkable athletes who competed for former USSR, as well as other countries including Belarus, Azerbaijan, and Russia. Zhanna was on the USSR national team for solo’s kayaking"
  21. Triceps are for pushing things away from your body. So, yeah, he could probably learn from Iowa-style wrestling.
  22. Well, he did beat Flo's P4P #2 (decisively) and #8 (with a major), and we saw what happened to #1, so there is *some* argument for it. If RBY had won, Flo would have ranked him #1 P4P, right?
