  1. While I agree that the EIWA (not just the Ivy League teams) aren't a threat, Cornell returns everyone except Yianni, who will be replaced with possibly the #1 recruit in the country as a true freshman. They also might get three of their injured starters back next year. Threat to PSU? Probably not.
  2. Whoever wins the last match of the tournament earns the third place trophy. Simple.
  3. Shocking development.
  4. Remind me again: when was the last time he said something truthful?
  5. Something about those bright lights?
  6. Vito's major of Fix was Fix's first loss by bonus in his college career.
  7. Six. The just went 1 for 5 in the consolation semi-finals. Ouch.
  8. ESPN just announced that PSU/Iowa/tOSU/Cornell can't be caught. tOSU and Cornell now tied at 67.5. How big is that Yianni/Sasso match tonight?
  9. Yeah, that was a mistake. I guess Brands lost that new-found offense after that one TD. Iowa finally wins one this morning with Big Tony.
  10. Adam Coon wants a word...
  11. One of Cornell's returning AAs got injured this year and didn't finish the season. They went from three AAs last year to four AAs this year. Isn't that "going in the right direction?"
  12. Found on Twitter. Don't know who is this guy:
  13. Penn has Burroughs at RTC and Mark Hall in the corner. Penn went 6-16 on the weekend, with nobody going past consolation round 3.
  14. Vito outscored opponents 43-18 RBY 27-10
  15. Semifinal - Vito Arujau (Cornell) 24-1 won by major decision over Daton Fix (Oklahoma State) 29-1 (MD 11-3) Quarterfinal - Chris Foca (Cornell) 27-2 won by fall over Dustin Plott (Oklahoma State) 25-5 (Fall 1:54) Cons. Round 3 - Jacob Cardenas (Cornell) 20-5 won by decision over Luke Surber (Oklahoma State) 23-10 (Dec 12-5) Ouch.
  16. Gonna have to lose a bunch of weight if he wants to be in the AF. If he's 6'4", max is 225.
  17. Vito destroyed Fix. I guess no 4x 2nd place this year...
  18. How timely: Jordan Oliver just got suspended for two years for a failed in- competition drug test. THC metabolite, I believe.
  19. Clearly a scheduling mistake by Coach Grey.
  20. Someone edited some Wiki pages (Chamizo, Belgrade WC) on 3/10 to indicate the new Bronze medalist.
  21. Bigger events, like the World Championships in 2022? Or the Soldier Salute?
  22. I got this text message this morning from Track/Flo: Mat 8: Bout 25 - B. Ungar vs. R. Miller www.trackwrestling.com/m.jsp?m=P-1255960135-15-N&p=
  23. I was at the EIWA tournament at the Palestra last week, and I was disappointed that the crowd didn't acknowledge Yianni after he won the final or after the 149 pound medal ceremony. Along with Dake, the best EIWA wrestler ever (but unlike Dake, Yianni never lost an EIWA match in his career). Only the Cornell section stood and gave him an ovation each time. In a recent interview, Yianni said that he was still in the freestyle mindset, thinking about his WC gold medal loss, when he wrestled Gomez in November. He hasn't made that mistake since, and won't make it this week against any opponent.
