  1. How many "casual fans" do you think ponied up the $150 for a Flo subscription that was needed to view this event? I'm guessing zero.
  2. This is a joke of a dual. I hope someone got paid for this.
  3. Apparently, his win over Michael Wilson of Rider was when the latter was a redshirt freshman. As for Monday being the favorite at EIWAs: Ramirez would like a word
  4. If we are counting D1 wins while wrestling D1, then Max Dean has only 93 (can't count when he wrestled for Spartan Combat nor against non-D1 opponents). Vito needs about 28 wins next year to reach 100.
  5. Updates: As noted, Yianni is over 100. Arujau is at 64 D1 wins; he should get four more at EIWAs and at least four more at NCAAs. That leaves him with 28 next year for 100. RBY has 91, so he won't get it unless he inexplicably loses early in the B1G or NCAA tournament. Max Dean is up to 93, so he should get it this year unless someone forfeits? Neither Glory nor Monday will get 100: Monday at 89 D1 wins, Glory at 86 D1 wins. Warner actually has only 83 D1 wins.
  6. Sorry, I should have included the link. https://www.nj.com/sports/2023/02/princeton-wrestling-national-finalist-pat-glory-leaves-match-with-apparent-injury.html
  7. Correct you are.
  8. I think it was 8-4 at the time, with RT locked up. Bailey really cranked Glory's right arm in an awkward way as part of a reversal. That allowed him to get the reversal to make it 8-6 and end Glory's (Senior) night.
  9. It was weird. Trying to figure out what actually was injured, given how he seemingly limped off. Definitely hurt his right shoulder, though. Maybe it hurt so bad it affected his gait?
  10. Late in match against Bailey (Lehigh). Really grimacing, holding his shoulder, as he limped off the mat. Won a regular decision. Three weeks to recover for the EIWA tournament.
  11. Glory gassed big time against Ryan Miller (Penn). Called three times for stalling in the third period. I think the final score was 8-6?
  12. When I worked at AT&T, we were asked to fill out an annual satisfaction survey. Part of our performance evaluation and raise calculation was how well our organization did on this survey. Yeah, right.
  13. Everywhere. https://www.ncaa.com/_flysystem/public-s3/files/D1MenRanking_020923.pdf (did they look at the resulting PDF, which has the points column on separate pages? WTAF?)
  14. 133: Fix #1, Arujau #2, RBY #3 149: Gomez #1, Sasso #2, Yianni #3 285: Parris #1, Cassioppi #2, Davison #3, Kerkvliet #4 WTF?
  15. That's Elijah Diakomihalis on the left at Cornell Senior Day. He's a HS sophomore wrestling at 189.
  16. 2018: true freshman wins against 2x AA (2/4) senior Meredith (33-1 record going in, with only in-season loss to Yianni) with torn ACL 2019: sophomore wins against 2x AA (3/3) 5th year senior McKenna (24-2 record going in, with only in-season losses to Yianni and Nick Lee) 2022: junior wins against Lovett (24-3 record going in, with only in-season losses to Yianni and Austin Gomez) Combined opponent record 81-6, with *three* of those six losses coming to Yianni. Yianni has NCAA wins over more NCAA AAs than Spencer Lee (e.g., Eierman counts as four AAs). "Not nearly as impressive": tough crowd. Maybe Yianni's opponents have been tougher? Regular decisions over Courtney and Mueller? Regular decision over Suriano.
  17. Oddly enough, the dual with Cornell tomorrow might be very close. Princeton matches up well with Cornell. Wrestlestat says 18-16 for Cornell, although I think Cornell could score as high as 27 (TF for Arujau and Yianni instead of MD, Handlovic and Cardenas winning, Foca with a MD). Monday vs. Ramirez will be the highlight match. Compare that to Penn, which matches up poorly with Cornell. Penn's best guys (Colaiocco, Zapf, and Incontrera) face Arujau, Yianni, and Foca, respectively. Wrestlestat predicts a 27-3 shellacking. All depends on who "shows up."
  18. Glory would have to weigh under 131 against Cornell to be able to descend to 125 for EIWAs.
  19. Cornell, not going with Fernandes, Ramirez, or Loew, win 30-3 over Columbia.
  20. No. You need a TV provider to get it.
  21. Last year, he bonused in 17 of 18 straight matches (one a real injury default, one a "fake" injury default (same opponent)), with a 12-6 decision over Gomez the only non-bonus victory. His career bonus rate is 61% with 22 pins. RBY has 10 pins (11, if you count getting pinned) in his career, as an interesting data point. Sasso has been bonused once in his career (as a RSFR); Zapf five times (Nick Lee, DeSanto, Pletcher, and one other guy).
  22. Make that five Hilton guys: add Collin Burns (285) at Binghamton.
  23. Hilton High School in Rochester claims Yianni, Greg Diakomihalis, Lou DePrez, and Sam DePrez as current D1 wrestlers. The upcoming (2/10) dual between Cornell and Binghamton is being held at Hilton to honor Yianni and Lou, both of whom are seniors. Lou out, Greg D. out with shoulder surgery, so only with Sam and Yianni, not quite the celebration they had hoped for. Still, a nice gesture on the part of all involved.
