    The entire athletic department should resign if Iowa wrestling doesn't have 10 national champs. That is my expectation.

    "Reoccurring nightmare" is so off-base. JW is benefitting from the change of scenery. The coaching staff was bold enough to help him do just that and then helped him land somewhere too, now JW is doing well. That is a success story, not a nightmare.

    "I lost because I was told to lose" feels right in Bo's wheelhouse lol At the same time, when you're being paid sometimes you have to do what your bosses tell you to do even if you don't like it. Just part of being employed. Either way Bo seems to use every opportunity to whine and grandstand so you know, more power to him.

    Lol it does kind of feel like the junior high lunchroom, right?

    8/10 PSU wrestlers are ranked #1 or #2, according to this site. I can't remember any team ever having such a stacked lineup. So yeah I'd say talent is more concentrated. OSU and Iowa combined have 9 wrestlers in the top 3, for comparison. And 5 of those are senior transfers for just this season.

    I didn't either until I watched the dual last night and saw that packed arena. They did it for the fans, man. Buchanan, Teemer, and Parco are ALL ranked #1/2. They got who they could get and their fans are loving it. I'm sure if they could have gotten sophomore national champs to transfer they would have.

    At lower levels, you just bull rush the guy down on his knees and knock him over. Or shove his head down and go around. Not sure what's done at D1 level. If it's legal AND there's no counter for it, more wrestlers would do it right?

    Risk a loss and no longer be able to claim “greatest 197 lber ever”? Or duck out and keep claiming that status? For a guy that likes attention probably more than anything, that has to be quite a conundrum.

    Pretty bold to think that life is only hard for adults. You have no idea what those kids are going through at home. Anyways not to soapbox, I just don’t see any downside to offering a second uniform options.

    T shirt sleeves are harder to grab than a bare shoulder in a singlet, right? That part seems weird, uniforms shouldn’t get an advantage. But beyond that I say let em wear what they want

    I went to one last year. Bit of a hoof from Denver, but hey. Campus was pretty, Laramie is like any other college town I've been to, just in the middle of the frontier.

    "Okie" was used as a slur for 50-ish years or so. It isn't used much anymore, but folks still remember it being used rudely. As an OK native, we would not call each other Okies unless we're friends and there's an understanding that it's tongue-in-cheek. Nobody seriously calls an Oklahoma dweller an Okie, it kind of outs you. Similar to how nobody from San Francisco calls it "San Fran", nobody from Oregon calls it "Ore-gone", nobody from New York City calls it "New York City", etc.

    Those things make Oklahoma great for wrestling. Wrestling tickets are cheap and the populace loves mankind's oldest sport.

    Same. Barrel chested brawny dudes without much technique that just pushed their opponents around until they got annoyed enough to miss their one takedown attempt in the whole match. That's my memory of Iowa style

    I grew up in the Bible Belt and tried many churches. The Mormons were the only ones that looked into my eyes and said “you will go to Hell if you don’t join us”. The baptists, Catholics, presbys, Methodists, and Unitarians at least had the decency to say that behind my back, lol

    He needs shots he can finish. Everything with him is funky drags and throw bys and Russian ties. He needs a swing single at least.

    Love this. Maybe we can also just grant PSU the title in March. 10 individual champions, their guys don't have to wrestle a single match all season. Cael will be appeased and then the rest of D1 can battle it out.
