“I did some thinking and want to say that I’m starting my own ethical sex ring”

There has to be a punchline in here about Jesus wanting him to wrestle doggystyle. Or maybe Jesus said folkstyle and he misheard it as f*ckstyle. Is anyone here good with jokes?

Go 8 posts up, there's a few potential lineups listed

Who knows. Bunch of newbies on both teams. It'll probably come down to which coach chews better.

Alvarez can’t have another year…can he ?
alex1fly replied to Cornell Kevin's topic in College Wrestling
Hell when he transferred to OSU for 2023-2024 there was talk about whether it would be his last season, depending on if the medical shirt was granted. We were all surprised that he got to wrestle in 2024-2025. -
Big deal. I wear a belt every day. Nobody will even challenge me for my belt. Today my pants have a belt BUILT IN. Maybe Nickal has pants that fit perfectly and doesn't need a belt.

martial arts Is wrestling a martial art?
alex1fly replied to Hopa12's topic in International Wrestling
They could also just be a high schooler taking advice from BJJ people and asking for other opinions. However the bolded part is a good question - what is OP trying to get out of wrestling? Forget what it's called, forget what some "let me lie down to fight while I insult every combat sport except my own" jabroni said - what do you want from wrestling, OP? If it's "self defense" then absolutely, unequivocally, without a doubt wrestling helps you. Is it the only thing that helps you, or even the best thing, I'd say no. But if you learn to wrestle AND learn how to strike AND learn how to disarm someone then you will be a powerful force if the need ever arises (also remember "Avoiding Fights" is a crucial skill as well). I truly can't imagine needing to defend myself and choosing to lie down. BJJ is weird. -
Try a good 'ol restart, log out of Flo, clear the browser cache/cookies, log back in, try different browsers, wait a day

I don't see wrestling as a martial art. It has similarities for sure. I also would not take anyone's word that says "this is the best for xyz", especially when they are into that sport. There's so many forms of self-defense and they all work together - wrestling can help you fight, BJJ can help you wrestle, etc. However YES conditioning is more important in a folkstyle match where there's sustained physical effort than in a BJJ match where you can lay on the ground. Or in a fight where you can end it with a well placed strike.

Does Minnow making a living from posting on FB? He sure does stir the pot a lot with weird posts.

I’ve seen human sized hamster wheels at street festivals and whatnot. You’d probably have to design a special high capacity wheel for Mess so he didn’t break the harness and start rolling down the street.

Riding time stops with a top man stall call, when does it restart?

I have family that does traveling softball for their teen… 15k/year per kid just to participate. Then travel and lodging costs plus enough job flexibility to work remotely and/or not work. Their team is dang good but wow that’s a huge barrier for entry.

Ok I have some dumb questions because it seems like this won’t actually help smaller programs. 1. Even with a 30 man roster limit what’s to stop top teams from having extra killers in the room with RTC/greyshirts, paying them, and having them compete unattached? 2. With wealthy donors already the top programs, why wouldn’t they also bankroll 30 scholarships? 20 extra scholarships at 50k each is a million bucks (the rumored price of several NIL deals), keeps studs out of other lineups, builds up the room… I don’t know, I’m certainly missing something (like a bunch of money to throw at college wrestlers lol)

Will this be a competitor with the CLAW league? That one looks to be more about duels I guess, with more modified rules.

Come on. Just prevent the leg lace, it's that simple. Then fart on the ref but blame it on your opponent so the ref gives you preferential treatment. I kid. But damn if refs don't get a lot of sway in freestyle.

I watched maybe 30 matches and not once did I notice a portly ref. Must have been too busy watching the sport itself, go figure!

Did Iowa fans enjoy Mocco versus Mirasola?
alex1fly replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
Tariffs may change, but JC stays the same. Glad to have him as an anchor during these uncertain times. -
This is probably it. Zahid doesn’t have a long name, but he does have interesting letters in his name. The Z and the V may just be the difference maker in this match!

NIL is taxable income. Universities often are clueless about post-academic life.
