  1. Also says AJ has three years of eligibility left. Is that accurate? I think it might be with the "free year."
  2. I am going off what the previous poster stated. CA_Wrestler always has fantastic info. It seems to me as if NK doesn't participate in enough events to be caught all that much.
  3. Yes. I went to Nashville this summer, wrestled zero matches and had a fantastic time experiencing the culture especially around the Broadway area.
  4. Listen: I am a ref. If I ever do UWW worlds, I'll skip one of my snack breaks and ref matches between sessions for the guys who went 0-1. I'm sure Zain Richards and other World Team members of all ages wouldn't be demeaned at all by this. They clearly are not up to snuff and need the experience. I do expect my fee of $6.45, however. I'm not going to miss out on eating some Kraft Mac and Cheese heated up by a member of the local booster club for free!
  5. Not misleading. Vito wrestled at a higher weight than Yianni. Why was Vito at 138 and Yianni at 132? (and did they all wrestle for AWA?)
  6. I think Vito was a weight above Yianni as high school seniors?
  7. Glory was a big boy, too. One of my son's club coaches was a Cornell guy. I honestly do not know if it is hyperbole, but I have been told there are days where Vito was heavier than Yianni.
  8. Just wondering where these particular WADA cats would be from and how they are treated, level of access, etc. (and how much does WADA even bother under these circumstances?)
  9. Yes... but I'm talking about his walking around weight. It's not like he wakes up weighing 135 lbs on a typical October Friday morning.
  10. Vito still has a bit of a cut to get to 133!
  11. Keep in mind that the last time he went 57 kg was less than a year ago at U23 Worlds (late October). He went 0-1, was smoked by Uulu of Kyrgistan 11-6. Uulu went on to take bronze. Since then, he has had a year to get older and bigger. This does not bode well for any 57 kg cut.
  12. Very interesting. How would these women be tested on a regular basis? I can't imagine WADA employees are welcomed into the Hermit Kingdom with open arms.
  13. Maybe, but it just takes one minor mistake by Shapiro (and a ref that isn't afraid to slap the mat).
  14. Very possible. Still wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make the trip. It is going to be a weird year. I hope he does make the trip, especially if I fly into Raleigh that weekend!
  15. Possible. Making the weight for the wrestle-offs won't be fun for anyone. Still, it may not be worth a trip to Raleigh when he can get a couple decent, fully fed workouts with Yianni in Ithaca.
  16. This dual is less than two weeks before he would have to be at the Pan Am Olympic Qualifier should Vito gain the 57 kg spot and attempt to qualify it. I would imagine, in that case, folkstyle and travel to NC would be de-emphasized.
  17. Fishback is pretty good. I think Shapiro handles Scott, but check out the Scott/Andonian matches to see what he's capable of. You won't regret it. Who is Vito's backup, because I think there is a decent chance Vito doesn't make the trip.
  18. I can only make it down to Raleigh for one February dual. Still deciding between Cornell on 2/17 or Vtech the next week. Cornell has some studs that I want to see, but the Wolfpack/Hokies rivalry is always electric!
  19. Well that's one scenario. There's also other scenarios. Ever see "The Wire?" Are you familiar with Omar Little (who was based on a real person)? That is another type of bad outcome involved with dealing drugs.
  20. I've met him too!
  21. He's a very smart guy! (this feels like a Gimp joke!)
