  1. My guess is that it is going to be difficult finding a lot of 5'3" guys to carry logs and boats with him in BUD/S. I think the boat teams are usually made of guys of similar heights for that reason?
  2. 1. No longer requiring headgear. My HOF college coach used to say "headgear should be optional in competition, but mandatory in practices." Instaed, we do the opposite! I would like that rule! 2. Changing first MFF to a loss. Good rule. 3. Reducing the scoring for consolation bracket (no specifics though). I like this. 4. Offensive wrestler must work for a fall/near fall. Great! 5. One point pushout rule. I like it, but there is one problem that I see: What happens when a guy escapes near the edge and then is attacked and forced out? Trading a 1E for a "1 pushout" doesn't sound right! 6. Not mentioned above was uniform weigh-in times. No more differing "one hour weigh-ins" for duals and "two hour weigh-ins" for tourneys. Make it uniform! Pyles was deadset against one hour weigh-ins for both. I think it is a great idea. The weight-cutting is not nearly as bad as it was 20 years ago, but it seems we are backsliding little by little. Let's keep making it tough for the weight cutters, especially in tournaments.
  3. There is already an actor attached to the role. https://deadline.com/2023/03/jennifer-lopez-unstoppable-ben-affleck-jharrel-jereome-amazon-artists-equity-1235303598/
  4. I was once told (and I have no idea how I could find out whether it is true or not) that the West point is the reason "locking hands" became illegal like 90 years ago.
  5. Good luck with that. He is never fully healthy, and may never be. I'm not saying this as a mean-spirited criticism. I mean it literally. Hopefully he gets firing on all cylinders and wins the US a gold, but his health is probably always going to be in question.
  6. I think you ended up with a pretty darned good one!
  7. Good writeup. It seems that, based on past experiences, that 57kg has been a bit low for Vito. This might be the reason why he has seemingly improved so much this year.
  8. Hope Nelson keeps a lock on his stuff!
  9. I just can't deal with the vinegar based. Even when in eastern NC, I generally go just with the tomato based sauce. Mustard based is pretty good, though.
  10. Yep. For some reason, some people want to drop this subject whenever it arises...
  11. If only Iowa fans knew about these a few months ago! They could have been used to partially rebut the screaming Jacob Warner meme!
  12. Such a mecca that they don't even have all their home matches there.
  13. “I didn’t want to tell anyone because F excuses,” Lee said after his final match when he revealed what he had to go through to win. “Excuses are for wusses. That was a tough tournament for me. I could barely wrestle. I could barely shoot. I can’t sprawl. I believed in my coaching staff and everyone that believed in me and here I am so here you guys go.” I don't think most of the haters, really understand the context behind the "wusses" comment. Lee probably only addressed it because Brands told him to post-match.
  14. What was his placement at Big 12?
  15. Yeah, because this is the guy who had to get a little taunt in for Spencer late in their match while Lee was wrestling with no ACLs. Context Jmoney. Context.

Lee probably only addressed it because Brands told him to post-match.
  17. No one did, but I don't think it started with Patrick.
  18. No one loses in an individual forfeit.
  19. Thanks. Remembered the true freshman year (7th), forgot about the redshirt after. Kinda a Zain thing, too.
  20. Yes. Also hit a lot of guts in his US Open performance. I honestly would not be surprised if he has been working almost exclusively on freestyle for the last six years, at least as far as par terre. It is not like he showed any evolution in his folkstyle top game.
  21. I agree to a point. How many of those guys you mentioned took a redshirt or greyshirt? Just curious. I know Joe Williams didn't redshirt. Amazingly, Lee has better placements than Joe Williams and likely more bonus wins.
  22. Yeah. I doubt he goes around bragging that he's a racist.
  23. Abas, pretty good.
