  1. I would say the most surprising thing about this tweet is the possibility that Koll and Ramos actually talk to Minnow.
  2. The most devastating result I have seen in a duel in almost 201 years. I must admit, I will probably be happier with this result. Is it time to rank dumbest Mineo fanboys? I have some personal favorites...
  3. I liked Estrada last year, but I don't agree with the prevailing theory that pulling his redshirt was "stupid." We don't know what conversations were had with the kid, and why they chose to use a year of eligibility. Did he want to wrestle? Maybe they were concerned that Teemer wasn't coming back, and they thought it was worth it to get him seasoning. It was probably important to win a couple of those duals and he was the best option. Finally: he is part of the team and Brands is the coach, and the athletes are supposed to do what the coach says. No one even knows what his long term future with the squad would be, especially with the way things currently are in college sports.
  4. I believe it is erased on facebook... or very buried. Sign of guilt, unless she asked him to do so.
  5. All his posts mentioning her seem to have disappeared. He messed with the wrong person, and I love it.
  6. As are the Cornell articles! https://cornellbigred.com/news/2024/10/24/wrestling-vito-arujau-24-set-for-senior-world-championships.aspx#:~:text=Story Links,a bracket is available here.
  7. Yes, it'll be federal terrorism charges, I would think.
  8. Uh... you may want to re-check your dates. The other stuff may be accurate as he did he 4 in 6.
  9. I think it is different in high school and college that freestyle. Can you imagine explaining to casuals, parents, etc. why some of the periods start on the knees and leg takedowns involve going to a knee and guys often get stuck on their knees in unsuccessful shots? "But I thought going to your knees was illegal?" Then there's the problem of how you referee or write the rulebook for an Anthony Robles, Nick Ackerman, or Dock Kelly. You don't see a lot of guys like that, but keep them in mind when writing the rules. I think we are fine as long as we make guys on their knees be active, don't run, initiate attacks, etc. I mean: They are right there for you to use your short offense on. Those are my opinions as someone who has been a college wrestler, college coach, high school coach, fan, parent, and ref. I'm not perfect, but I do think about stuff from multiple perspectives.
  10. Ivies allowed 2024 Olympic redshirts, correct?
  11. I said knees on the mat would be very difficult to legislate in NFHS and NCAA. I said nothing about hands.
  12. Yeah makes sense. Interesting that both he and Vito were 7th year seniors...
  13. It seems likely. Funny, he was a Cornell coach. Also amusing is that Vito did the same number of years, and could have even done one more. I guess Vito "got a life" and Kem didn't.
  14. The electoral college is impacted by numbers of residents in each state: citizens and non-citizens. the census does not distinguish between legal and illegal residents in their count.
  15. Very difficult to legislate the "dropping to a knee is stalling" thing, especially in NCAA/NFHS rules.
  16. Is this a lot different than: 2018 FR RTC 2019 FR St 2020 SO RTC (redshirt) 2021 SO St 2022 SO St 2023 JR St 2024 SR St ?
  17. NCAA all-American/resident athlete. And I believe they did use the word "spouse," but I haven't seen any proof of marriage. Maybe to make her look worse. I would love for her to legally go after Minnow, but not sure that he has crossed the line just yet.
  18. I like Koll. I liked him as an athlete and I like what he has done as a coach. He's a good interview and has some great ideas. I don't blame him for doing the stuff he does. and did. I have no problem with greyshirting. I wasn't taking a swing at Cornell. What I do have a problem with is him judging who were legally using their eligibility. I think he said "Get a life?" But he was just about to roll out 24 year old AJ Ferrari, and I'm pretty sure if he stayed at Cornell he would have been fine with 24 year old Vito. I'm not personally offended. Just not a fan of the hypocrisy.
  19. My apologies... you posted the same joke twice on the same thread. I guess you can probably try again tomorrow. Love how the supposed PSU fans are drawn to any thread about Iowa wrestlers or recruits. You guys are great, you're on top! Enjoy the feeling!
