  1. I might have bit had you not followed up with LRA as the immediate destination. A 'WOW, Mesenbrink in to the portal!' with a 'discuss' would have been apt.
  2. I want these two to swap weights. I want to see Hensen give MFS a go long-term. I don't think 65 KG is an option for him, then.
  3. I seent it! I seent it with my own eyes!
  4. Honestly don't know. Mum has been the word. His public appearances have been minimal as well so we can't see his current state. He is a shell at 65 KG compared to 70 KG... so 74 KG is wishful thinking. That said... here is who is out to the bottom side semi-finals (picture attached to show format of last OTT)... Arujau at 57 KG (or 65 KG) Retherford at 74 KG (or 65 KG) Valencia at 86 KG (or 97 KG) 57 KG and 65 KG will be full, proper brackets with the finalist making the following say Best of Three. Meaning if Arujau and Retherford would need to only win one match to make the best of three. 74 KG, 86 KG, 97 KG, and 125 KG have a returning medalist sitting out to the Best of Three. Meaning Valencia and Retherford (if he goes 74 KG) will have to win two to make the following day's best of three finals. Now that I am thinking the method to make the best of three finals, I am thinking 65 KG makes more sense... I still want him in at 74 KG.
  5. Rethorford is sitting in the bottom semi-finals as well.
  6. Aye that is a big oof on their part.
  7. All fair points. I concede. Also said it was SVN to lose, so no problem losing this one.
  8. Our current #1 97 KG won three straight titles ay 285lbs... even beating the guy that manned the 125 KG (275.5lb) weight class for us for ~5 years when he (Snyder) was a Soph and the aforementioned Gwiazdowski was a Senior and two time defending champion. Being a large 97 KG is not a death knell.
  9. The guy who has dominated everyone on the entire planet 79.1-86 KG for the last 5+ years is going to suddenly be dominated? You going to bet the house on that one?
  10. Any chance we see Harman head down to 165lbs? A lineup like this might be their best, assuming Redshirts redshirt... 165 - Harman 174 - O'Toole 184 - Whiting/Hawkes 197 - Whiting/Hawkes 285 - Elam
  11. If Kasak redshirts, then no real point to the discussion other than saying the ole 'Iron Sharpens Iron' metaphor. It would be wild, but we could see a Haines redshirt as well, or in lieu of, with SVN heading up to 157lbs. They both had comparable seasons. Quite a few fringe losses then turned it on for NCAAs. To answer your question, though? I don't know. I would lean to 'No' though. Edit: Actually your question was 'any chance' so I change to a yes.
  12. Rumor is Salazar, if he comes back, will head down to 174lbs.
  13. Oh my. You are definitely taking it personal.
  14. You seem to be taking this personal, bud. Probably shouldn't.
  15. Well he entered the portal... That is all the list is for. That column under 'Transfering To' will remain empty so long as he doesn't commit to a different institution.
  16. Keep in mind, gents... they don't have tk transfer in these 45 days, they just have to enter.
  17. I would be interested in seeing comparable data. Meaning for 2019-2024 seeds 17+ all get valued as 17 as well.
  18. Fish is small, man. Average 165 at best. Gilcher has been 74 KG, so I could see it. Could Lillard go up?
  19. For me with Michigan it's Rylan Rogers. His best friends wrestle for Cal Poly and Purdue. Both have needs. I don't want him to go, though. For me with Michigan State is is Lujan or Fish.
  20. Lillard and Gilcher both there, though.
  21. I did say FWIW. I also did not out much stock in it.
  22. I think because AB does it 4-5 times per sentence that it makes it seem like everyone else doesn't, ever - at all.
  23. Carlson does own the series edge on Fish, FWIW.
  24. Oklahoma had a Michigan guy ay the helm. They also have twp comparable guys in Cael Carlson and Nachohouse at 165lbs.
  25. Speaking of Illinois... you're wrong. They have been treading water at about the same place the last four or five years... yes... but they did that this last year while utilizing a redshirt on no less that five (5) gents and one potential AA going down to injury (Luffman). With these gents back, I think they can do some damage next year. They'll certainly beat Wisconsin (with or without Bono... especially with, though). 125 - Ruzic (solid incoming Frosh cut from the same cloth as the Brawnagel brothers 133 - Byrd, Mid to High AA Contender 141 - Pucino, R12/R16 149 - Webster, Mid to High AA Contender 157 - Scoles, R12/R16 - Beat UNC's NQ Santiago 165 - Moore, R12/R16 - Surged late in the season 174 - Brawnagel, Mid to Low AA contender 184 - Ruth, Mid to High AA contender 197 - Brawnagel, Mid to High AA contender 285 - Luffman, Mid to Low AA contender Depending on how Ruzin can perform coming in (or maybe another redshirt frosh/transfer) you are looking at potentially 9 NQ type gents there that can win at least a match or two at NCAAs... some of them many more. Those sorts of lineups can be lethal in a dual setting. Now obviously these are optimistic and are not factoring in potential injuries, which do happen. All this said, believing that they are rock bottom is just silly and ignores the actual statistics available.
