  1. He has committed to more schools than Kerkvliet now, right? Who needs a 197lber for four years?
  2. Christian Carroll is in the portal.
  3. Why 40% chance for Parris? I would wager his chances of making the finals are north of 60%.
  4. Lol come on now cheers though to pool format I stated something factual. Gomez placed 4th. The defending world champion at the weight placed lower.
  5. I can agree to that so long as you are okay with me meandering around and talking about unrelated subjects such as nonsense.
  6. The OP specifically said that he wanted to know about each weight, though. I think you take the L here. Jury of your peers dictates failure.
  7. He outplaced the reigning world champion, so I would say it was a good showing.
  8. What other school would take them? Northern Colorado? Anthony wouldn't start. Lock Haven? Michigan State (I would root for them hardcore... j/s).
  9. I am curious how his 665 deadlift hasn't improved in like... ?five? years now? Just shows that he is slacking off right?
  10. Who says he didn't take a Jesus Pill as well? Who's to say he didn't take it and was so hyper-focused that he actually forgot how badly he got ridden? Someone should make sure to check with him to see if Carr had put in enough quarters for that pony ride...
  11. I defer you to the bold underlined in the next quote from the OP... Then to the very first reply afterwards. You will see, my ~best bud(@ionel), that the OP was read appropriately and that we were responding in kind, again appropriately.
  12. @Idaho How do you see Oregon State's lineup playing out at this point? Do we see Munoz go 197 w/ a Redshirt from Rademacher? Seems to be a trio of 174lb seniors that likely want to see action in incumbent starter Olguin, incoming transfer Harman, and spot starter Reiniche? You also have late starter Fouret at 165lbs?
  13. He trained at the OTC last year, so it wasn't even a redshirt, it was a deferred year (Greyshirt).
  14. The only way to really compare is with the versions we have. If comparing the versions the public got to witness, I believe it goes Starocci > Askren > Hodge. I don't think any match is particularly close, either.
  15. A ) Adams hasn't been active in Folkstyle or MFS, so it's hard to gauge where he will sit. It could be 149, it could be 141. Edit: 67 KG is ~147.7lbs FWIW (for example, Omania for Michigan State was 7W - 13L the year after making the national team at 67 KG. It doesn't always translate well. B ) I said 'in two years' in my post.
  16. It is a badass list.
  17. I am pretty stoked at the notion of him as a 125lb lifer. I think Horwath was trying to cut too much weight for 125lbs last year and will have a 'bounce back' season this year. I do think he will still try for 125lbs with Ragusin at 133lbs this year, but once Ragusin is out he will slide in up at 133lbs. Catrabones reminds me of Hepner. I hope he develops his neutral game a bit more. I also think he is flying under the radar a bit as well. He could win a few 2-0 matches early in his career until folks get the tape on him. I agree with this almost entirely.
  18. It isn't from one interview. It is from every interview's insinuations and whatnot. Starocci has said in one interview, yes. There have been dozens of interviews with the coaching staff as well that keep saying they're excited about Barr at 184lbs to see what he can do. Maths is easy. Edit: Also, he was never making 74 KG and hasn't been that light since his Frosh year in high school. That had a considerably less chance of happening than him going 197lbs next season.
  19. There is as much smoke to him going 197lbs as there is for him returning, which he has already confirmed. Unless something drastic happens, it will be 197lbs. I think an ASC match between him and PK would be fire.
  20. I won't see 149lbs, I don't think. I think he is already bigger than that, meaning 157lbs. Throw him in the weight room and let him run out at 174lbs after next season. I really think the Mantanonas should be 165/174 for them AFTer next season. That will give Michigan their best lineup possible, with the other gents sliding in to 149/157 accordingly. I like Gilcher for 157 and I think some (a lot) of his problems when he started the year last year weren't just him being young, but him cutting too much weight as a true frosh. 149 is just a shit weight for anyone with Olympic aspirations that isn't truly elite already. In my perfect world this is what they are rolling out in two seasons: 125 - Botero (true frosh) 133 - Horwath/Walker 141 - Lemley 149 - Gates/Catrabone (Cooper redshirt) 157 - Gilcher 165 - Mantanona 174 - Mantanona 184 - Veazy (true frosh) 197 - Walters (Correa redshirt) 285 - Jenkins (Sahakian redshirt) That is a very young lineup that has potential to be better if Sahakian beats out Jenkins from the get-go. The Mantanona's have long frames, too, so they could grow even more. Also interesting note: Troy Mantanona still has a year of eligibility left were he to choose to use it.
  21. Michigan 133/141 IF Cannon does not transfer out, which is a large if, one of him, Ragusin, or Lemley will need to sit (or Redshirt). 149/157/165 Gilcher, Mantanona(x2), Mattin, Cooper, and Gates are all top tier potential talents and two of them will ride pine unless one shrinks down (while growing) or grows in to 174lbs. I wouldn't be surprised to see it be 149 - Gates, 157 - Gilcher, 165/174 - Mantanona (x2) in two years, but they need to get there first. That seemingly leaves Cooper the odd man out? Not sure. Gates might be. Also, Lemley might grow more (or perhaps he heads back down to 133...? Not sure). 197/285 You have Walters and Jenkins right now for 285, even if Walters is a 197lber - Cardenas is there. Next year there will be Walters, Jenkins, Veazy, Sahakian, and Correa in the 197/285 range. I had said before, and I will reiterate: Veazy needs to plan on descending towards 184lbs now if he wants a spot. One of Walters, Sahakian, and Correa will not be starting. These are all not taking the portal in to account.
  22. Parris vs Batirmurzaev for Gold. Parris beat him 11-0 at Worlds last year. Batirmurzaev was up 4-2 when he pinned Geno, FWIW. He is capable of beating Parris. He was up on Zare a couple years ago before he CRASHED 21-10 (yeah it's a football score...). https://uww.org/athletes-results/batirmurzaev-yusup-2958-profile
  23. Nah bro. OP was about best at each weight, wasn't it? Even if the thread title was not.
