  1. WFS 50 KG - Erin Gholston loses toe the lady from Ecuador via 4-0 Decision. Despite losing she is now placed in the 2nd position of the semi-finals for the bracket below. She will face the winner of Cuba and Venezuela in the semifinals. The lose of Cuba and Venezuela will meet the lady from Ecuador in the other 50 KG WFS semi-finals. WFS 57 KG - Xochitl Mota Pettis was Pinfelled by a lady from Brazil in 2M7S. She was up 5-4 at the time. Brazil faces Cuba in the semi-finals. Mota Pettis is still alive for Bronze, but needs Brazil to win the semi-finals. WFS 68 KG - Forrest Molinari is in the semi-finals. She has won both of her matches via Tech without allowing a single point (yet). Molinari is still alive for Gold. MFS 86 KG - Mark Hall faces Puerto Rico, and former North Carolina, wrestler Ethan Ramos in the semi-finals. Hall is still alive for Gold. MFS 65 KG - Nashon Garrett in the the semi-finals. He has Argentina's Agustin Destribats. Garrett won his first match via 12-4 Decision over Peru and his second match over Chile via 10-0 Tech in 1M22S. Destribats won his first (and only) match over Bolivia via 11-0 Tech in 0M55S. I believe the winner will end up facing Alejandro Tobier of Cuba in the finals. Tobier has Albaro Comacho of the Dominican Republic in the semi-finals on the bottom side. Garrett is still alive for Gold. 65 KG looks to be the deepest weight, right?
  2. They copied me.
  3. Those gents should have chosen an easier name to say. One where a breath isn't needed midway (best-case) and doesn't take three business days to get through.

This does not include Repechage, btw. All topside Repechage should be on Mat A as well.
  5. Just as a reminder on where to find the brackets, gents.
  6. Aye. Minnow has shown more accuracy the last several years than that guy.
  7. Every time I have heard him on the mic I have been satisfied. Him, Burroughs, John Smith... the greats know how to communicate the game they have dedicated their lives to. With the success he has had with M2 it help reinforce the idea that he would be an excellent HC at the D1 level.
  8. It doesn't really explain the original Nachohouse transfer the year before, though.
  9. Nachohouse at 174?
  10. That is funny AF.
  11. No I can't. My grandmother can, though.
  12. Focus U?
  13. Smaller division, not smaller. Get it right. It works like gauging. The lower the number the larger the gauge. D1 is lower than D2 and that makes it a larger division. You're doing nothing to convince me that anyone right now would compete. The actual results aren't there. I welcome them to challenge the D1 guys where they can (Bill Farrell anyone? No divisions there).
  14. Going undefeated two years in a row is a good indication of being better and more dominant? Has Abney ever had an undefeated season against D2 competition? Streck is chump change in D1 now. He had his chance and failed. He just competed at the Open this last spring and lost convincingly to Trephan and Elam. Two guys who are on the low-AA/R12 type tier right now. I understand the not being listed part with Abdullaev. I am a big fan of him in Freestyle. Is he not wrestling 133lbs? Who has he beaten in folkstyle? Different weight classes and different styles. Please educate me more on Burks. I would enjoy hearing about him. His actual results that are on Wrestlestat don't give you any ammo... Those guys have chances to compete against D1. They don't do it. The proof is in the pudding. Joey Davis put it on the line every chance he could and surthrived. I won't anoint someone in a lower division as being 'on par' unless they actually try to fill those shoes (and succeed).
  15. I have written about him four... five hundred times. If that. Leave his brother out of this. I miss your point.
  16. Iowa has released their probables for this weekend. https://hawkeyesports.com/news/2023/11/01/notes-no-2-iowa-opens-season-at-california-baptist/ Cal Baptist also had their own release. https://cbulancers.com/news/2023/10/31/the-2023-24-wrestling-season-set-to-commence-against-iowa-on-saturday.aspx Match of the night is likely Nathan Haas VS Brennan Swafford at 184lbs, right? Wrestlestat currently has it as a 9-8 Decision victory for Swafford and a 38-0 shutout in favor of the Hawkeyes. https://www.wrestlestat.com/compare/perma/669/iowa-vs-cal-baptist
  17. Abney wouldn't compete at 197 in D1 NCAA this year. Streck definitely wouldn't. Have you been seeing him lose repeatedly in the Freestyle circuit? He has been. He isn't on the level. Burkes is 12W-3L in three total seasons... are you basing him being able to compete off of his 10-3 Decision loss to Iowa State's Cabanban or...? Blubaugh? If Abney isn't competing, the he isn't either. Have you seen how fckn deep 197 is this year? There was a recent D2 197lber who didn't do anything at the D1 level. He was even more dominant as a D2 champ, in Ryan Vasbinder. Abdullaev isn't even listed on Menlo's roster. I am all for D2 and D3 competing... there is nothing stopping them from entering the MSU open (Notre Dame used to go there). I know D1 programs don't like to schedule for duals... but there are plenty of individual tournaments that would be happy to have UNK or Grandview or any of these other smaller division programs. Midlands?! What about Midlands?

  20. Not sure, mate. I know Harley had a great record, but his results weren't exactly great. It would have been nice to see.
  21. Harley Andrews
  22. @Husker_Du? Did you finally quit standing Basch up?
  23. Trying to set him up for success.
  24. These two need to wrestle several times over the course of the next season or three... https://gopsusports.com/sports/wrestling/roster/lucas-cochran/13902 https://www.wrestlestat.com/wrestler/71705/cochran-lucas/profile https://cmuchippewas.com/sports/wrestling/roster/luke-cochran/5402 https://www.wrestlestat.com/wrestler/82463/cochran-luke/profile Can we all at least please agree on this one?
