  1. They all made sense so I was like 'Cool shit.'
  2. Also, @flyingcement, I legit thought your OP was the results for a bit.
  3. Yes.
  4. On twatter? This week? Nope.
  5. Every Top 5 seed at 165 has bonused both their prior matches so far. Two out of ten are Majors, the rest are Pin or Tech.
  6. So turn the other cheek mentality when idiots and ignorami run rampant in your comments? Had he done that we would be talking about his lack of testicular fortitude. He did nothing wrong.
  7. Oh god. @Husker_Du?!
  8. Are the six the same guys as the top five?
  9. Maybe, and that is a respectful maybe, a dozen or more other guys have the potential to beat Giddens, but the other five are heavy favorites to wrestle to seed. Injuries and off-days (and on-days) happen, but those top three especially? They're not going to lose to anyone not seeded in the Top 6.
  10. Per what DT was talking about he was currently 15lbs less than last year and wanted to get a little lighter. Being as he weighed in at 256.2lbs at B1Gs, I took that as him being ~241.2lbs from DT himself.
  11. WCAP is in as of now. All the usual suspects there plus Morgan McIntosh (Penn State) as well.
  12. Officially in, btw... https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/11616990-ioc-declares-russian-belarusian-wrestlers-eligible-for-the-2024-olympics

  14. Rankings aren't an opinion based thing. They should be based off actual results, not necessarily placement(s).
  15. Look at these two babyfaces...
  16. Interesting that Wrestlestat has Pitzer over Feldman via 10-2 Major and Masita over Pitzer via 11-10 Decision. Something is off on their projections right now.
  17. Still did it while he was in school at a College Open, though.
  18. Bouzakis will have a chance to avenge an earlier loss to Santaniello. Mendez at Matthews is a trap match for Mendez. Matthews has been wrestling very off/down this year so far. He is capable of winning the 141lb bracket at NCAAs, so don't let that 3W-3L record fool you. I don't think 149 or 157 will be close, in favor of tOSU and I don't think 285 will be close, in favor of Pitt (unless Feldman wrestles). That leaves seven matches that will be a grind on both sides.
  19. Wrestlestat gives it a 26-6 victory for the Buckeyes. https://www.wrestlestat.com/compare/perma/687/ohio-state-vs-pittsburgh
  20. The last time he trimmed down to 232lbs (there is/was video proof of him stepping on a scale for this) was in 2021, when he won the U23 World Championships - the final was a 13-0 THRASHING of a gent from Greece. He weighed in at NCAAs that year at 263. You're talking a few months between for 30lbs. The history is there for him having done it already, so it shouldn't really be that much of a shock. If he knew in May that is seven months. Hell, even if he still planned on it, there were rumors of both him and Kerk descending towards 97 KG for Olympic Trials, anyways. I don't remember if those were before or after. Kerk has also trimmed off 15-20lbs and plans to get lighter, yet. Another factor is perhaps he didn't like how he felt last year (~255lbs) compared to two years ago (~240lbs). Come May he might have already been back to 240. What is 10-15lbs from there in even a few months for a big guy? It isn't like he is going to walk around at a weight he has never walked around at. I imagine his walk around is in the 230-235lb range leading up and he plans to cut from 225 to 97 KK (213.8lbs).
  21. All jokes aside, I think folks really misunderstand how much of a grind he went through that year at NCAAs. He wrestled five (5) Top Ten guys in the highest level of Folkstyle wrestling in the world. Round 1 Alex Madrigal, FR - Old Dominion, 12W-12L Result: Win via FFT (Unsure why) Round 2 #9 Scott Parker, SO - Lehigh, 20W-5L (8th place) Result: Win via Decision 7-6 (SV-1) Round 3 #1 Nathan Thomasello, JR - the Ohio State, 24W-1L (3rd place) Result: Loss via Decision 3-1 Round 4 #10 Mitch McKee, FR - Minnesota, 21W-20L (R12) Result: Loss via Major 14-6 Round 5 #5 Stevan Micic, FR- Michigan, 29W-7L (4th) Result: Loss via Decision 6-5 Round 6 #9 Scott Parker, SO - Lehigh, 20W-5L (8th place) Result: Win via Major 14-4 7th, in that bracket while wrestling those matches is a result. He was on the mat for that tournament actually wrestling for over 35 minutes. With how knock them down, grind them out his matches were I bet he was on a mat in wrestling matches for over an hour getting beat on and beating on them right back. The 2023 US Open now? Round 1 Yevier Lopez Result: Win via Tech 0:27 Round 2 Brandon Meredith, 125lb Backup - South Dakota State University Result: Win via Decision 6-1 (10-0) Roudn 3 Mike Tortorice, 3x D3 AA (3, 2, then Favorite in cancelled 2020s) Result: Win via Tech 2:20 (10-0) Round 4 Jacob Comacho, 125lb Starter at N State Result: Win via Decision 8-4 Round 5 Nicky Skeletor, 2x D1 NC, 3x AA, 4x NQ - Penn State, Rutgers, Michigan, Arizona State, Cal Poly, Italy/Croatia? Result: Win via Decision 3-3 (TD with 27 seconds to go to win via criteria) A grand total of 20 minutes with only one real 'Top Tier' wrestler and a lot of usual suspects at 57 KG not out. I am not attempting to belittle his run - it was badass and got the job done. That said, his NCAA run his 2017 Season was a Grinding as they get and impressive as well. Add in that over the past three to four years he has grown, seemingly exponentially, every year. He earned the #1 spot on our team last year by taking out the defending WORLD SILVER (2022), who was also WORLD CHAMP the year before (2021) in two straight matches. It is very difficult to not be a fan of Richards. He is a good guy and he is never one to make excuses in any match - ever.
  22. 42.
  23. No not that he tried to add weight, just that he did add some back on. Edit: A couple years ago NYAC missed on a bunch of the weights entered, when they entered. They had ThugMassa G up at 86 KG (and that was one of the years he won 74 KG, too). So it happens. Typically it is sponsoring teams that sign up, if they have them, because they pay the fee(s).
  24. Is it not known that his actual name is John Michael? I thought it common tribal knowledge.
  25. I also heard in ten minutes the same thing. I don't think good so I had to hear it twice.
