  1. Tony Cassioppi entered at 97 KG, gents. Interesting.
  2. 74 KG it is then, bud. No 70 KG as Senior Nationals this year. Only olympic weights.
  3. I know. Is that not par for the course - especially on their High School bit? They'll change next year maybe?
  4. O'Toole was a 152lber in high school too, wasn't he? I remember him taking it to one of those former OSU boys at 152... the one that went to Northern Colorado? Travis Mastrogiovani?
  5. You have weight to lose, bud, don't you? Weight classes exist for a reason. I competed at 134 because even if I was able to train with Joe up at 158 there was no way in hell I was going to be able to wrestle those animals night-in, night-out and not come away with some serious injuries.
  6. lol Twatter living up to it's name today. A lot of gold there the last 24H.
  7. Brooks was a separate issue, I believe. I am all for the peanut gallery and tinfoil hat guys with this one. Personally, I think that Cael might have been giving Beard his time at Rec Hall. All for it, too.
  8. Minnow likes to have his own little micro-peen circle-jerk contests weekly. He lets the guys who won't pick on him in on it more than the rest.
  9. It's weird because I actually find myself defending Pyle all the time because people tend to and enjoy creating or twisting misinformation to paint him the villain of every story. It's wild. Like... the guy is a turdbiscuit enough as it is... don't make shit up to exacerbate it. Use the facts that already exist, FFS.
  10. This is a badass pickup for them, if true. Potentially slide right in as an O'Toole successor.
  11. @Jon_Kozakis and always has been top class.
  12. I would still pay to watch them two wrestle, FWIW...
  13. Minnow's nickname is Minnow. He can own that for a while longer.
  14. I wasn't too far off...? 125 - McCrone, DNP (3W-2L) 133 - Bouzakis, 3rd (7W-1L) 141 - Mendez, 1st (5W-0L) 149 - D'Emilio, 4th (5W-2L) 157 - Gallagher, 7th (5W-2L) 165 - Wilcox, DNP (2W-2L) 174 - Kharchla, 3rd (5W-1L) 184 - Hoffman, DNP (2W-2L) 197 - Geog, DNP (1W-2L) 285 - Feldman, 6th (5W-3L) Wilcox instead of Hepner - was wrong there. Hoffman lost to the guys who took 5th and 6th, right? I am chocking that up to first time at the weight for an extended time and I think he will be fine. He will get a chance to avenge his Bullock loss soon. My worry with Geog was length at 197 and it appears I was correct there (unfortunately). Feldman is right there. Only had two actual losses... I hope his injury isn't too serious.
  15. Bratke is on here. I have him traced to at least seven different usernames, only five of them burners.
  16. Nicky Skeletor enrolled anywhere?
  17. Be real, GRF... A Cornell degree, just in name alone, is far superior. They don't need to bank on that for a selling point. Lehigh going of the 'quantity' and not 'quality' approach is still a win for Cornell.
  18. I enjoy Pyle. I enjoy most, though. It probably goes along something like the old "If you're looking for a problem you're going to find it." Go in to every match open-minded and if you don't want to, then turn the volume down. One thing I actually appreciated about CKLV was it did appear that Pyle was attempting to coach Kozak in his play-by-play. They would alternate and a few times they didn't shut their mic off in between and it seemed like he was giving pointers or suggestions (really they were just talking). Kozak seems a natural, as it were, so there isn't much needed there to get him there, too. I would much prefer Ollie(sp?) than Rader. I think Rader's personality may take him far, as long as he doesn't rub too many people the wrong way, but as a caller I am not really a fan of - at this point. I don't know how Ollie does, or would do, but I do prefer him on FRL than JD as well. Not to say I don't want Rader on FRL, as I do enjoy him too.
  19. NIL agreement(s) or contract(s) likely have after-school implications. Even if they aren't supposed to, do you think for one second that these guys aren't keeping many of their 'sponsors' after they graduate - especially a guy like Spencer Lee?
  20. Great minds and simple minds often think alike one another. I know I am pretty simple, but I had you held to higher regard, mate.
  21. I imagine there are quite a few coaches who aren't as 'in-touch' with ranking 33 gents per weight class as some of us are. The HC gig in NCAA D1 wrestling is insane to manage. Meaning, I bet they look at rankings/results and such. Many, if not most, also apply bias towards theirs purposely to manipulate the system - which has been a known corruption for years and years.
  22. His wife also has potential.
  23. You're welcome.
  24. I saw that after... please see my edit, mate. Sorry, again.
  25. Heavyweight would have 13 if they did the weight classes the same as College (save for 106/113/120(119?).
