    From yesterday’s update: “Ryder Block has been removed from the rankings. Block originally entered the rankings after defeating Nash Singleton. However, that win over Singleton means far less now that Singleton has dropped out of the rankings. On top of that, Block hasn’t recorded a win over anyone ranked in the top 33.”

    What we don’t know is if there was any conversation between Brands and Arnold about the PSU match prior to Arnold making the callout. I would assume not and at that time (post-match of their prior dual) Tom’s decision probably wasn’t even made yet. But Tom said it was his call (and that Arnold was upset about it). I know he’s not always the most forthcoming if it involves strategy, but I doubt he would blatantly lie.

    Yeah that’s what it looks like. I think after next year we’ll get rid of most of the free covid year guys (although Kharchla in particular did not compete that year), but even in 2027 there will still be a couple left if they took both a regular redshirt and another type of redshirt.

    Whoops totally forgot about Forrest. Also looks like the matches are in Altoona which is only about 45 minutes from PSU, so it could be a sign for Bassett but it’s not like they’re going too far out of their way

    Kyler posted another video, this time talking about his hip surgery. No indication of anything changing college-wise, although the video did include a trip to watch an ISU match. I knew Castillo was there, but didn’t realize Meza was a Valiant guy too. So I wonder if ISU could be in play if they are actually thinking of leaving ASU (no idea if they are)

    I’m still curious what made him change his mind about when he was going to commit, IIRC his exact words like less than a month ago were “it will definitely be after NCAA’s, probably over the summer.” Is there any chance he reclassifies and enters college next year? I’d imagine if someone is offering $3+ million they will want a sooner return on their investment.
