  1. I have a hard time believing Scott would have had more than about a 1% chance of winning a title at OSU as long as Cael is still coaching. But I’d probably say that about most current coaches. Thanks for the research, but I’m not sure they’ve convinced me that Scott was any better than the 3rd best coach in the ACC. So where would you have ranked Scott as a coach in the ACC? Certainly behind Pop based on your numbers. I guess you’re trying to say Robie’s situation isn’t comparable. What about Keith Gavin? Looks like this will be his 8th season. And Gavin finished ahead of Scott at Scott’s last 2 ACC tournaments.
  2. “Less severe sanctions.” He hasn’t received any sanction yet has he?
  3. I only brought it up because Brooks did. Sounded like he was saying it was an issue that he didn’t have the prescription so “he could have gotten it from the streets”
  4. Could they do the 1 second injury default?
  5. Again, I didn’t say he was a cheater. He said he had to get lawyers involved. That sounds like more than just “he then filed it properly.” Yes, announcing he was on the medication is a good sign, but that still doesn’t explain not bringing the prescription with him if he knew you’re supposed to have it (plus seemingly additional paperwork?).
  6. I didn’t say he was a cheater. I said I’m not convinced he’s not a cheater (sorry for the double negative). Uh, Brooks admitted to taking it and that he didn’t have the proper paperwork initially.
  7. I will cheer for everyone on team USA. But I would prefer it if there are no cheaters on the team. At this point I’m not convinced that Brooks is any less of a cheater than Fix was proven to be. I doubt PSU fans said much different about Fix than fans of other teams besides OSU. But they sure seem quicker to jump to Brooks’s defense than fans of other teams. I could probably pull some quotes if you wish.
  8. Also keep in mind Brooks releases YouTube videos where he shoves a camera in his own face. I don’t think most people have too much issue with him sharing his beliefs and what he thinks makes him successful (at least in this interview he said something about “being prepared” and not just Jesus), it’s really just when he puts down others (like DT or the 2 billion Muslims in the world) for not sharing his beliefs when he gets most of the criticism
  9. I’m confused. Does having a mic shoved in your face turn you into a devout Christian? I’m sure many of us would sound like Braeden Davis after B10’s. I’m not sure many would sound like Brooks unless they were doing it intentionally.
  10. That was just to medal
  11. Oh man, I can sense the religious social media “influencers” like Jack Posobiec now, thanking him for “sharing the truth” or something. Kinda like when they tried pitting Tamyra Mensah Stock against that shotput lady or whatever. TMS of course didn’t say anything offensive, hopefully Brooks doesn’t. Although if he gets a mic hopefully that means he’s done well… Actually speaking of Basch and this topic, did anyone catch his interview with Kennedy Blades? Basch was definitely pushing it, but she basically said she wants to be good at wrestling so that she can have a platform to share her beliefs. Whatever works I guess, and it seems to be working for her…
  12. I don’t think it’s his “success” as a “wrestling media” person that @Le duke is referring to…
  13. Even Campbell, Gardner Webb, Sacred Heart, Cal Baptist, and Presbyterian?
  14. Hopefully they got the Ostarine out of the water
  15. Key words in what you quoted are “as a freshman or sophomore.” Feldkamp spent 3 years at Northern Illinois and 2 and Clarion before going to ISU. Smith spent 4 years at App State. Buchanan spent 3 at Wyoming (w/no redshirt). Closest this year would probably be Isaiah Powe of UTC, but he only went 1-2 at NCAA’s. My point is the guys transferring out of smaller schools are typically doing so after first spending 3+ postseasons at the original school. That combined with the fact that the smaller schools are also GETTING transfers from bigger schools leads me to believe that the transfer portal isn’t a death sentence for smaller schools.
  16. Ha, probably for another thread but in a way, Taylor and Gilman leaving (and maybe Dake soon) could be good for NLWC to seemingly clear the way for Lilledahl, Nolf and Brooks.
  17. I wonder if all the PSU fans jumping to his defense had the same thing to say about Daton Fix?
  18. And in his 5th year of college. It looks like he was still finishing his undergrad too. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, tons of people even outside of athletes that are on the 5 year plan, but if I had to guess I’d bet his class schedule wasn’t particularly difficult.
  19. I can’t remember now…So he just got the prescription this year, correct? The same year he’s saying he “grew” and was having a tough cut to 86kg? And vyvanse can also be used to treat “binge eating disorder” and a common side effect is loss of appetite?
  20. True. Not sure then.
  21. Other than Brooks, who are you referring to here?
  22. I believe he said “the guys that went with him,” which IMO means Kennedy and Gilman which are the only ones known thus far
  23. I actually thought the first 30ish minutes was pretty good, it’s the most I can ever recall Brooks actually talking wrestling and not just giving the lord credit for everything. For example it was interesting to hear him remember specific matches from each of his college seasons. But yeah, once he got into the DT stuff it was pretty cringe. Particularly when he was talking about Kennedy and Gilman helping Taylor prepare for him and how he “hopes they find the lord” for doing that or something.
  24. Not surprised to see some of their fans turning on him already. I am surprised to see Brooks do it though
