  1. I doubt they’d shut off credit cards for the overwhelming majority of the organization because they found some people were abusing them…. So yeah, thank you as well for proving my point. The other difference between your made up scenario and what’s actually happening of course is that I don’t believe President Musk has cited actual evidence of fraud with the credit cards. All DOGE has said is that there are more credit cards than employees. I’d wager the extras are just inactive and likely don’t even have any spend on them
  2. I like how they’re calling the semis “prelims”
  3. I do, and have always had a corporate credit card. We’ve had travel freezes across various companies I’ve worked for, but it was just a verbal direction, pretty sure they never actually shut off or drastically reduced the limit on the card (or reduced the limit at all for that matter). And I only worked for companies selling products, not running the government. So yeah, thanks for proving the point that this is pretty unprecedented…
  4. I trust that there are some people among the 2 million that are not making fraudulent purchases on their government credit cards. Isn’t it odd that DOGE apparently has the power to change expense spending limits to $1? Sounds like a story you’d hear out of communist China
  5. I also enjoyed him calling out other guys for saying they’ll go in a 3-point stance…
  6. I like his rebranding of clinics to “seminars.” Sounds more high class
  7. But if he lost that match in the dual he probably doesn’t get the 1…
  8. No, it’s a true statement
  9. An x post with 456 likes, you’re really reaching. Biden was so great the Dems led a coup to get him to drop out of the race
  10. Agree with cutting stuff like that, but I don’t think your question is so cut and dry. IMO you’d also need to take into consideration whether things got cut that shouldn’t have been or ended up having a bigger negative impact. One possible example: https://apnews.com/article/veterans-affairs-cuts-doge-musk-trump-f587a6bc3db6a460e9c357592e165712
  11. I never said there were no trans mice and agree there should have never been any that were funded by the government. Just pointing out the correct amount. I also could do without the White House calling people losers, but maybe that’s just me.
  12. I guess this could be an instance where Cornell’s TC3 loophole comes in handy if he hasn’t even been admitted yet, then they can wait a year for the situation to die down
  13. Well it better not be, because this is only 122
  14. And who decides if any cards are “unneeded”? They also apparently paused the use of nearly all cards, which I’m sure caused a major disruption to job efficiency
  15. I think the fact that one of the best examples you could find is a blog post by “Bobby from the Bronx” is proof that this wasn’t a claim that was repeated “over and over”
  16. Also, this post contains a blatant lie by claiming the delay was for political reasons. Which is pretty common for “amuse” Here is the link that the original post (which also lied) provided as a source: https://arstechnica.com/space/2025/03/butch-and-suni-send-mixed-messages-on-whether-politics-delayed-their-return/ Q. Did politics influence NASA's decision for you to stay longer in space? Wilmore: From my standpoint, politics is not playing into this at all. Q. Elon Musk said he made an offer to bring Butch and Suni home last year, but it was denied by the White House. Is this true? Wilmore: I can only say that Mr. Musk, what he says, is absolutely factual. We have no information on that, though, whatsoever; what was offered, what was not offered; who it was offered to, how that process went. That's information that we simply don't have. So I believe him. I don't know all those details, and I don't think any of us really can give you the answer that maybe that you would be hoping for.
  17. It appears they spent about $5 million on transgender mice studies, which I am good with cancelling. The largest on the list for $3 million had a brief mention of trans folks but that wasn’t the purpose of the study. Also lol at an official White House document calling CNN “fake news losers” https://www.whitehouse.gov/articles/2025/03/yes-biden-spent-millions-on-transgender-animal-experiments/
  18. Who’s the best president ever? Elon Musk? There is no mention of Trump in this post
  19. AJ Ferrari the most egregious example of not being punished by getting the 1. Ethen Miller in line for the 1. Closest I can think of is Teemer being penalized for missing an extended period of time due to injury (and maybe the coaches felt OK with putting him at 4 with Miller as the 1). But overall it appears that sitting out matches was rewarded in seeding.
  20. They originally stated that they accepted the suspension. Haven’t seen if they’ve commented since the lawsuit
  21. 125 3 133 3 141 10 149 12 157 12 165 24 174 17 184 18 197 9 285 17 Even with this doomsday scenario, they are still looking at around 125 points and a likely championship
