I thought they did say they knew. But it is pretty standard to let kids announce their commitments themselves. Ironically one of the people who “amplified” their error here has repeatedly been called out for leaking commitments before kids make them. I kinda agree with Vak, I thought what they said was fine. They did take responsibility, but called out the truth that not many people would have known if others didn’t amplify the error. By talking about it on FRL they made even more people aware of their mistake that probably hadn’t even seen it, I wouldn’t have been surprised if they didn’t address it at all. Flo probably should have deleted their own social media posts about it though.

Does the Ivy League grant medical hardship waivers? I thought that was the NCAA. I know the Ivy has their clock rule though. Even if he stays in school this semester couldn’t he unenroll next semester and then for a future season only wrestle in the spring or something?

For what? That he takes a loss at some point in the season? I’d still need very good odds to do that, just saying I wouldn’t be shocked.

He’s only had 3 NCAA tournaments. IMO he is more worthy of a “seventh year” than guys that will have wrestled 5 tournaments. I assume he goes 133

Supposedly Ferrari got one as well. As far as the Olympics go, I’m more just disappointed he didn’t try to qualify if he does actually still want to wrestle. I also wouldn’t pencil him in as the automatic champ this season.

I agree, although I think it’s notable that in regards to Davis/Nagao he said it as a statement, and not “I’m hearing” like he did with Facundo/Kasak.
