  1. Congrats to all our medalists, great job.
  2. Well now that JB has finished competing at these World Championships, what’s next? Does he continue on to 2025? I really thought that he would have retired by now, but apparently the fire in his belly is still burning very brightly. My thought is, can his body keep up?
  3. Well I would love it if any major University would bring back or add Wrestling.
  4. Well the “lung breaks,” need to be reviewed. I think that on the 2nd one it should be a caution and one.
  5. Very tragic, prayers for the family and friends.
  6. Daton was just at 57 earlier this year at the OTT and couldn’t get past Gilman. So I don’t know what his future will be at 57. But on the other hand who knows what Spencer will be doing in 2028.
  7. Well obviously it’s always up to the individual, but with the amount of talent emerging it might be difficult for some to hang on and really be a factor on the national and international stage. I know that we just witnessed JB make his 12th team, but JB as well as SnyderMan, DT, Dake and some others are exceptional talents who have found a way to extend their careers. I don’t know what the what the average international career length is but I have to think it’s probably one Olympic cycle where an individual can really have a significant chance to be successful.
  8. True, but like Dake and DT they had to sit on the sidelines for a while because of JB. And now Dake and DT have been holding down the spots at 74, 86, and JB has basically swapped spots with Dake at 79. So the point is that it’s been pretty difficult to break into the lineup at some of these weights. But JB has lost a few times now domestically, so perhaps we will see someone new like KOT at 79.
  9. Well, best of luck to DT
  10. I think that it would be kind of exciting if some young guys were to win, like Blaze, Duke, and KOT
  11. Weight classes have been adjusted periodically over the years so it wouldn’t surprise me if they were changed again. A long time ago we had 105, and 114 lbs weight classes which were eliminated. So we’ll see what they do.
  12. I agree with this, but I would ask the question: Which is more satisfying? 10 Top 5, 9 medals, 1 gold 8 Top 5, 7 medals, 3 gold We're very happy, but Iran aren't sulking much either. I admit I'm a little jealous of their 3 golds despite our hardware. Absolutely valid question. But my initial thought is that 9 of our 10 guys came home with a medal, maybe not the color of medal they wanted, but it does show what they achieved, and it is an accolade that they will have for the rest of their lives. I thought about getting into the weeds about how some particular matches went, but I figured what was the point, so I just wanted to congratulate our wrestlers, staff, and everyone else who contributed to a job well done.
  13. What a performance, what an absolute medal haul from our MFS team. Congrats to all.
  14. Well my opinion is that we did pretty well and I think we are improving somewhat.
  15. There are too many ads, and once you delete them they should stay deleted. But unfortunately they pop right back.
  16. Well since we are speculating, I wonder if Ben Kueter could make 97 Kg.
  17. Well unfortunately I don’t see any Nordic countries entering into Freestyle, it’s like they have decided to just focus on Greco. Estonia is another country that I don’t see any Freestyle wrestlers. So I don’t know if this is about popularity or financial support.
  18. Good for the Roadrunners. Hopefully he will find success for himself and the team.
  19. Congrats to him and to his brother who just won the Bronze.
  20. Well good luck to him, I wonder who else might be in this weight class
  21. I don’t think going below 57 kg., is a good idea.
  22. Well I wanted to see Nolf make a Senior World team one of these days, but I guess his career is going to take a different direction. Congratulations and best of luck.
  23. Zain had a great career and was a tenacious competitor. I never met him but he seemed like an outstanding person as well. Best of luck to him in all of his future endeavors.
  24. Well I don’t think anyone on our MFS was arrogant or felt entitled. I hate to even think this but it might be because some of our guys are getting up there in age. SnyderMan is only 28, but he has been rolling hard since 2013, and you have to wonder if the wear and tear of 12 years of competition is getting to him? And in Snyder’s case it could be considered double time since he hit so many tournaments over the years. Dake is 33, and also has years under his belt as well, and the weight cut might be getting to be more of a factor. Maybe David Taylor recognized this and that’s why he didn’t waste any time and jumped into the Ok St. job. Gilman seeing this opportunity, got on that bus as well. Zain is also a guy who after everything he has been through, might also be worn down to the nub. Now obviously this is all speculation on my part but I do remember Metcalf in 2015, I thought he was finally going to break through but when 2016 arrived he just wasn’t the same, and that was it for him. So unless you are Lopez of Cuba, this certainly feels like a younger man’s game nowadays.
