  1. Starocci has 4 career losses. Two injury defaults last year (Sparks and Baumann). The other two are to DJ and Kemerer. No one has beat him twice unless you are going back to some high school results that I am unaware of.
  2. Nebraska, Iowa Central, Iowa State, kind of Iowa.. any else that I am missing?
  3. Guiseppe Hoose has wrestled for 4 different D1 college programs (Hofstra, Buffalo, Oklahoma, Drexel). Has anyone else wrestled for 4 different teams or more?
  4. Well that was.....interesting... He could make a good tv preacher some day
  5. His duck under's are so smooth and vintage OK State. He is a great scrambler and proficient in mat wrestling. IF he can put it all together he is going to be a major problem for anyone in the weight class (as we saw yesterday with Lamer and Stiles).
  6. Hate him or love him, AJ is a very positionally sound wrestler with a great gas tank. For all the talk of people wearing him down, I cannot think of any match where his gas tank has been an issue.
  7. Little dec Munoz 7-4
  8. Williams dec Lamer
  9. 3 point stance = bad. 4 point stance = good lol
  10. 133 will have some interesting round two match ups with Ayala vs Bouzakis (if he gets by Rini), Fugitt/Wells vs Byrd, Davis vs Shawver. 149 D'Emillio vs SVN was a great match in the dual 157 Miller is not coming to have an easy time with the winner of Saldate/Cannon. Blaze vs Taylor should also be intriguing.
  11. I get it. I wish he would have wrestled also. It is just not nearly as egregious as refusing to wrestle an opponent that you know you will lose to in order to protect seeding.
  12. To be fair Ethan Miller did only sit out one match (I think) and it was against an opponent that he had already beaten.
  13. What @VakAttack is describing is truly only possible with a computer program looking at the results though. The case for Parco over SVN is assuaged by the H2H win and the inherent PSU bias (which is probably deserved). None are astonied by the results of the seeding.
  14. Apparently so. Either way, they are all gonna end up on the back side fighting for third. Just depends on who gets there faster.
  15. @jajensen09 the man is back!! In post season form nonetheless.
  16. Feldman beat Slav and Luffman and Ben beat Feldman. Ben has the best win out of those three (Luffman, Slav, Ben).
  17. What is the seeding criteria? Why would Slav be seeded over Ben? Worst loss for Ben = Luffman. Worst loss for Slav = Bullock. Best win for Ben = Feldman. Best win for Slav = Luffman.
  18. Speaking of guys that need to come back, I have been missing @jajensen09 this year. That guy is a true hero.
  19. #19 Jared Hill - 157 Wyoming. Has multiple career wins over a tough #22 Vinny Zerban and wins over #8 Askey, #20 Swisher, #23 McGee, #25 Washleski. Has solid defense and rarely gets blown out. #20 Matty Singleton - 174 NC State. Athletic guy that has made a world team. Has wins over #21 Wolak, #11 Ruiz, #27 Conley, #24 Turley, and #28 Uliano.
  20. So did Carter get hurt late in the season or did Teague just get cleared to wrestle?
  21. Intermat rankings 125- #22 McGowan 133- #7 Bailey 141- #6 Hardy 149- #9 Lamer 157- #7 Blaze 165- #5 Ramirez 174- #4 Kharchala 184- #4 McEnally 197- #7 Little 285- #3 Hendrickson
  22. When SDSU was starting to improve Iowa came to Brookings, SD and (at that time at least) it was the largest crowd in program history. Over 4000 people there.
  23. Tom has been at Iowa for like 20 years. You don't just luck into 20 years of success. He is obviously a great coach.
  24. Not to mention the fact that Iowa always wrestled out of conference teams like Oregon State at Corvallis and Bellarmine at Louisville. Last year they went to Riverside and wrestled Cal Baptist and went to Philly and wrestled Penn. 2 years ago they went to West Point and wrestled Army and went to Chattanooga. Iowa does as good of a job as anyone at growing the sport.
