Webster looks to me like a guy with a really big cut that was struggling with weight mid season. He’s looking great now and presumably got his weight under control.
Anthony Molton is also in the Parco category but on team 3: Old Dominion, Fresno, Campbell
Sammy Alvarez is on team three: Rutgers, OKState, Rider
Evan Bockman is on team three: Cal Baptist, Utah Valley, ISU
Starocci has 4 career losses. Two injury defaults last year (Sparks and Baumann). The other two are to DJ and Kemerer. No one has beat him twice unless you are going back to some high school results that I am unaware of.
Guiseppe Hoose has wrestled for 4 different D1 college programs (Hofstra, Buffalo, Oklahoma, Drexel). Has anyone else wrestled for 4 different teams or more?
His duck under's are so smooth and vintage OK State. He is a great scrambler and proficient in mat wrestling. IF he can put it all together he is going to be a major problem for anyone in the weight class (as we saw yesterday with Lamer and Stiles).
Hate him or love him, AJ is a very positionally sound wrestler with a great gas tank. For all the talk of people wearing him down, I cannot think of any match where his gas tank has been an issue.
133 will have some interesting round two match ups with Ayala vs Bouzakis (if he gets by Rini), Fugitt/Wells vs Byrd, Davis vs Shawver.
149 D'Emillio vs SVN was a great match in the dual
157 Miller is not coming to have an easy time with the winner of Saldate/Cannon. Blaze vs Taylor should also be intriguing.
I get it. I wish he would have wrestled also. It is just not nearly as egregious as refusing to wrestle an opponent that you know you will lose to in order to protect seeding.
What @VakAttack is describing is truly only possible with a computer program looking at the results though. The case for Parco over SVN is assuaged by the H2H win and the inherent PSU bias (which is probably deserved). None are astonied by the results of the seeding.
What is the seeding criteria? Why would Slav be seeded over Ben? Worst loss for Ben = Luffman. Worst loss for Slav = Bullock. Best win for Ben = Feldman. Best win for Slav = Luffman.
