  1. You chose to cut 37 pounds because you wanted to be the starter. Had you been able to beat the heavyweight you would have chosen to not cut 37 pounds (as evidenced by you moving up). When I was in high school, I weighed 185 as a sophomore. I chose to cut down to 152 pounds because I was unable to beat the 189, 171 and 160 pounders on my team. I chose to cut 33 pounds because I wanted to be a starter. No one made me do it. I chose to do it.
  2. Agree with shifting 184-197 up. It is such a simple solution that would align better with freestyle aspirations (move 197 closer to 97kg) and create a much smaller gap between the last two weights. For instance if you moved 197 to 215 the gap would decrease by 18 lbs, which is significant. Then guys that weighed around 230-235 could make the cut to 215 if they chose to do so and everyone else bigger would wrestle heavyweight.
  3. No one is getting offered 10 millions dollars lol
  4. They do not have depth behind Sinclair. I hope they keep him in redshirt as he seems to be better suited for 184.
  5. Coach Smith announced that Elam is done for the year and KOT is out for the month of January with an injury. https://mutigers.com/news/2025/1/2/brian-smith-announces-wrestling-lineup-updates-ahead-of-beauty-and-the-beast.aspx?fbclid=IwY2xjawHjpxdleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHTpkhJOXgKTJkTvsA25DYaYb89pdjx-GzDacwhyRpu7r4K84I38JLkv7kw_aem_tksQ4oULSNzjNFfZ7QbIrw
  6. Nate Carr Jr is the head coach at Davidson.
  7. But then won again at 125. He’s quite a unique case.
  8. My suggestion was to stretch out the 4 upper weights to 175 - 190 - 215 - 285
  9. Is he wrestling attached?
  10. From a simplicity standpoint: if you never start drinking you will never become an alcoholic. Would you use cocaine in moderation?
  11. We know that now that Correa whooped him at who’s #1 but idk if a lot of people would have said that before.
  12. Correa clearly said that he was opening up his recruiting. He felt he was recruited over with Michigan getting Sahakian. Also why it looked like he was out for blood in the Flo match with him.
  13. Merry Christmas y’all!
  14. Not to mention the fact that 125 pounders can wrestle with the 133 and 141 pounders on the team.. which are of course hammers at PSU.
  15. He is so fluid in his motions. He makes this technique look so effortless.
  16. This is some of Jimmy’s best work tbh.
  17. While I agree that MM melts people with his pace if you go and watch the match they were in a wrestling position and then Hamiti turned the wrong way (was cruising and taking it to MM up to this point) and it seemed like something was just off after that.
  18. I think Hamiti is in this tier. People forget that Hamiti was undefeated going into Big 10’s last year and was winning against Mesenbrink before it looked like something happened in the match and he proceeded to lose 13-11.
  19. Levi is back next year and will hold down 174 presumably. Ryder is not small at 79kg and could surely grow to be a good sized 184 pounder. Ryder has performed better in age level tournaments than Mirasola has.
  20. KOT gets the win. Very evenly matched.
  21. Perhaps Ryder/Barr will be a better option than Barr/Mirasola.
  22. For the past 20 years who are the best wrestlers to never win a title? Fix and Gilman come to mind.
  23. Noto needs to head down to 125
  24. Agreed. Not sure what the deal was there.
