  1. The Bible says not to judge hypocritically (Mat 7:1) and not to judge over matters of Christian liberty of personal preference (Romans 14 talks about this). But the Bible does tell believers to let your love abound in all knowledge and judgement (Phil 1:9), he who is spiritual judgeth all things (1Co 2:15), judge not according to appearance but judge righteous judgement (John 7:24). Read 1 Corinthians 5 where the man in the assembly was living immorally and the Apostle Paul told them to kick the man out of the assembly until he repents and changes his ways. And by the way, it worked. The man repented and was restored in 2 Corinthians 2. Most evangelicals take Matt 7:1 and make it a blanket statement against any judgement regardless of what it is but that is taking the verse out of context and twisting it to fit an agenda. Christians are to judge other Christians with righteous judgement with the intent of restoration. Christians are not to judge hypocritically.
  2. I believe so. If you just type in Kyle Snyder FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) you can see all kinds of work that he has done at FCA camps, videos, etc.
  3. I don't want to get into a theological discussion on this board but suffice to say that Christian's are held to a higher standard as ambassadors from Jesus Christ. Additionally, Christian's are told to judge over and over again in the Bible. The only time that Christians are not told to judge is that we are not to judge as hypocrites.
  4. I surely hope so. It is hypocrisy when you preach to young athletes the importance of living a life that is honoring to God and then you solicit a prostitute. That is actually the definition of hypocrisy.
  5. Snyder is a scumbag and ought to be ashamed of himself. He has been a prominent figure in FCA wrestling for a long time and has preached Christ to young athletes. This is a disgusting act for a Christian man to be partaking in and he ought to be ashamed.
  6. Good point. The stuff a guy like Gross or Askren does is much more duplicatable for the average Joe.
  7. And here you see my reading comprehension skills lacking LOL. I will now divert to say that Rhonna Gross is an ideal candidate because she brings Seth with her!
  8. Yes Gross is from Minnesota. The question was not who do you think that grew up in your state would elevate the youth wrestling scene in the state though but rather who would be the ideal candidate. Since Gross was the only national champion that SDSU has had I think he would be a great candidate to grow the youth wrestling scene in SD. On top of that, his wife is a very accomplished wrestler herself and grew up in SD.
  9. In South Dakota the answer is probably either Logan Storely (4xAA, 6x SD state champ, Belator interim champ) or Seth Gross (only national champion for South Dakota State). Gross is currently in ND running the Matpac wrestling program and I would love to see him move down into SD! Storely is still fighting and living in FL so that seems like a pipe dream at this point.
  10. I think you have Melvin Miller mixed up with someone else. He is a sophomore and has not committed anywhere.
  11. Probably thought he had a chance to win at 92kg seniors.
  12. I’m pretty sure they are very close in age. Hamiti came to college young and went 4 straight years
  13. Thank you sir
  14. What time does the senior men’s finals start at? CST
  15. Add in Aden Valencia and Aedon Sinclair to young semi finalists.
  16. I think Endene is going to fair better at 197 lb than at 213lb. Laird was 6th a couple years ago with a 23-4 record..
  17. Welsh has elite hand fighting but needs to add another attack or two. He has that outside step swim hi-c but not a whole lot else.
  18. 61kg, right? and then 57 has LL
  19. A lot of action in that match!
  20. Yianni has filled into 70kg nicely
  21. Assuming he is what you just described, that is not a black hole for Rutgers but moreso a serviceable starter.
  22. Gibson could surprise some people at 125. He had a solid redshirt year at 133 losing close matches to Leete and Berginc at 133. He was a high recruit that fell due to injuries in high school.
  23. Good analogy and correct. Typically D2/3 guys are gonna struggle against D1. Endene did make the U23 team last year (albeit there were not any top D1 guys in the field) so he is not your typical D2 champ.
