This is fun. Broken laws do not equal tickets. As you well know, they are not the same. The broken laws here were speeding and not wearing a seatbelt. Simple stuff. Both things observed by the officers. Yes, you should imagine that. It would help to clarify that disrespecting the police isn't a racial or "cultural" issue - it's merely a disrespectful issue. Even if it isn't illegal. And even if the disrespect is aimed at officers who are non-white. None of the pertinent issues here have anything to do with skin color. Exactly. Watch it again. It's difficult to see through the tinted windows. Guns? Who knows? Even through the tinted window it did look like he was putting his seat belt back on. Maybe. Like the kind of thing a guy would do before driving away and potentially putting the public at risk again. Major/minor violation - nah - that's for the courts to decide. That comes well after the police issue we're discussing. From the video of what happened, it did appear that at least a couple laws were broken. More importantly, Hill's behavior was putting officers at potential risk. Hill was non-compliant, he was obviously argumentative, he had tinted windows that made it difficult to maintain contact, and he closed down contact by closing his window and not reopening after multiple officer requests. He was putting on his seat belt, and his behavior was no longer predictable. It's that simple. He was a potential threat to officers and the public. It was a good move to remove him from the vehicle.

I tend to agree with you more often than not. But here, I see things differently. This is a driver who has broken at least two laws and was now being pulled over for criminal behavior. It's not like he didn't do anything wrong - he had. And he all but admitted it. To paint the picture, imagine the driver of the car being white and imagine him have two loaded handguns - one under each leg. Now watch it again. That is the potential reality that cops have to deal with. It is why they need to control the situation. It isn't necessarily a racist thing as much as it is a situational one. "Controlling the situation" can and does get ugly. But it keeps cops coming home in their cars instead of in boxes. Any notion that citizens who are committing crimes are somehow on equal footing as police officers is wrongheaded.

Not much else to say about the topic at hand. A few more days and the debate will be underway. Unless, of course, senile old Donald decides to wuss out (or, more likely, his handlers decide for him.) That's my bet. Don wusses out. Doesn't matter. There's an orange jumpsuit waiting for him just around the corner. That's all that really matters.

Yes - it is 34 felonies. I don't know who you're trying to convince that it is otherwise. But if they're reading here... stop believe ionel's BS. Each of the 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, a class E felony, carries a maximum sentence of up to four years in prison. The judge could decide to impose the sentences consecutively or simultaneously. However, under New York law, 20 years is the maximum prison time that Trump could get — not 187 years, as Trump falsely claimed in his May 31 remarks. Ionel, it may be time to take your clown hat off and put on your thinking cap. You're posts are an embarrassment.

Oh, my goodness. It appears you might have tried a tiny bit to make sense. That's a start. Unfortunately, it only makes a tiny bit of sense. Which isn't going to be nearly enough. So... Dig deep, research your ass off, and post again when you have something that is (hopefully) much better. On a scale from 1-100, your last post above was maybe a 3. When I say "dig deep", I mean it. It has to be a LOT better than your effort here. You have to decide if you have it in you to do it. You have to decide if you can commit and discipline yourself. Your success or failure is 100% on you.

Thanks for that. My mistake. I believe I may have confused him with "banbasketball"... another one of those "gents."

If you don't understand the posts above, that's OK. Nothing wrong with that. It's all there, just may take some time. Read everything above thoroughly. Then use search engines like Google to research whatever you don't understand. (Even the things you think you disagree with that you may actually not understand.) Take your time, you may not pick it up right away - but if you keep at it - eventually you'll get it. Knowledge is a wonderful thing. Best of luck to you.

Clearly I'm dealing with a child here. ... so again, You were the one who called Trump an idiot. I agreed with you. And now you agree with me. You are quite a spectacle. Calling Trump an idiot yourself, and then arguing with someone that agrees with you. I'm not against home schoolin' but maybe this could be a focus for next week's courses. The course could be called "Don't be a dope who shows he doesn't understand English or logic." Maybe make a day of it.

Which poster is the Evil Poster currently?

As the old saying goes... if you're playing poker with a bunch of folks and you don't know who the sucker is. You're the sucker. -
I agree. I don't recall if he was banned for life or just banned for a period of time here. I was just a youngster back then.

Each felony count represents a separate offense. Each are a felony offenses. Trump was convicted on all of these 34 felony counts - so, yes, 34 felony offenses - aka "34 felonies". (Doesn't include the other multiple criminal indictments against him. I suspect more on the way.) But, seriously, google it yourself next time. Find your bootstraps. I'm happy to help out posters who need assistance. But not sour dullards who just want to argue nonsensically.

How to think critically about what the media is telling you?
RockLobster replied to jross's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
... and here we have another MAGA type claiming not to support trump. When faced with supporting someone who can't be logically supported in any way. Avoid conflict - claim not to. Then act, in every other way possible, to continue to support him. When you have no basis in logic or reality - throw them both out and make up your own reality. I guess that's... a way. Just keep up with the banjo lessons, that might be a better way for you.. -

Ummm... OK. "Alexa... whoever that is..." That sounds about right coming from you. -
What is with you clowns lately? Kamal is an incredibly smart and successful lawyer and politician. And the current Vice President of the United States. Yet you randomly call her an "idiot" with no basis at all? When I point out that Trump has been convicted on at least 34 felony counts - you need me to google it for your for proof? You couldn't find this: Donald Trump is found guilty in hush money case : NPR on your own? (Or one of the many others?) Trumps is a multiple time convicted felon. He's a tried and proven criminal. It's no surprise that so many think he's not fit to be President - he's unfit for any political office. He's a senile old man with a history of criminal activity and bad habits of continuously lying and continuously verbally insulting anyone who he feels threatened by. Soon he may well be a senile old man in an orange jumpsuit in a federal prison. He's nothing more than a pathetic loser.

I can't imagine that you don't know how to use google. Yet you ask me to do it for you... again? If you must - here's one of many sources (again, see "google") that lists them: Here's what all 34 felony counts in Trump's hush money trial mean : NPR Evidence from the entire trial is available on the New York Courts website. Jurors in the New York criminal trial against former President Donald Trump have convicted him of 34 felony counts of falsified business records. This is the first time a former or sitting U.S. president has been convicted of criminal charges. Yes. It's true. Arlington's rules are actually federal law. Nothing about Arlington Cemetery rules should be taken lightly... by anyone. -

Biden and Harris supporting our troops. Commendable. Most important difference here is that they didn't break federal law at Arlington like that other guy and his crew did. If you missed that point, you lack the critical thinking skills to realize you've missed everything this thread is about. -

It's not crazy at all. There should be no use of Arlington for political purposes. None at all. That's by federal law, which is a good law. Guess all you want - but political nonsense doesn't belong there. None at all. And there shouldn't be any "video" coming out either. I can't believe some people still don't understand the concept. I have to question what country you are posting from.
