I see what you're saying. I do. I just disagree with it. I'm not complaining to complain, and not even complaining at all. But I am saying the match order does matter. It does. Your life revolves around wrestling, but for so many others with kids - getting to the match on time isn't always as easy. They deserve a bit of a break if they can't get it together as quickly as they'd like. No need to hate on late attendees. You seem to value a fresh TG against Gable. Against, much worse, a duck if it were the last match. Nothing wrong with that take. In either case, your logic is solid. My logic dictates a 125 match first - which was a 5-4 match with two ranked wrestlers. Starting 0-0, I think that match could have been more contestable that it was. Followed by two more ranked vs ranked wrestlers. When properly motivated, wrestlers are known to exceed their limits. I would have preferred that scenario. I just didn't think TG had a chance against Gable. First or last match. And I don't think TG would have ducked. There is an argument about rankings potentially being affected. I've never been one to hang my hat on rankings either.

I disagree. I think the closest actual match would have been at 125. It could have gone either way. Flynn is very tough, but he is new to the program. If there was any chance for momentum to be built, it would have been at 125 (not at 285) I believe the the next couple matches gave Campbell their best chance to get some things going and score points. I doubt many would be saying "screw it" and not wait for the heavyweight match. But maybe that's just me.

She's not NA, nor does she claim to be. But she does have NA ancestry - which is cool for her. It's nothing to bicker about. Heritage is so much more about honor and respect than anything else. You disrespectful children have so much to learn.

That would make sense - however, I don't see any evidence to indicate that any of that would possibly be true.

Be honest: Insurance companies make money by selling insurance. Period. Insurance companies can increase their profits by investing - which could yield a positive or negative return. Direct profits are exactly that, per the policies that were sold. Investment profits include risk and may result in loss. You make the mistake of including past performance as if it was a guarantee of future results. (Finance 101 mistake.)

I agree. I like the courage, but the logic seems a bit off. Do you really want your team (and fans) to see your very best wrestler get slapped around to start the dual? Seems like a less than ideal choice. But maybe that's just me.

Don't be so incredibly ignorant. Insurance companies make their money by selling insurance. Period. That is their income stream. How they choose to invest could result in positive or negative results. Just like the rest of us. We make money where we work, and we either gain or lose money with our investments.

You seem to be quite huffy about all of this. I like the enthusiasm. Let's go with it. So, give us all your take. As you were the one who made the claim that she is AAPI. If you are going to determine what race someone is for the rest of us - what was your basis? Don't be 1935 Germany. Explain it.

Selling insurance.

Banks invest because that is exactly how they profit. Some investments may be riskier than others, which is where insurance comes into play. If everything is in order, investment proceeds. Insurance companies will sell insurance because that is exactly how they profit. If the risk is high, the cost of insurance increases in accordance with the risk as determined by actuaries. Unpredictable things happen, of course, and losses are sometimes incurred. In that event, the future rates are increased in order to recover these losses - as undesirable as this is for their customers. If the risk is deemed too high, however, insurance companies may simply decline to provide coverage. The knowledge of risk outweighs any potential profit and the potential negative effect on their customers. If it is a foregone conclusion (aka "they know") that a catastrophic event is imminent. Then coverage will be declined. (But, you already know all of this.)

I wondered about that, too. I dug around a bit (not too hard) and was only able to find out that her mother of German descent, born in Indiana and grew up in Michigan. While her father is of Samoan and European ancestry. Seems like something roughly like 75% European ancestry - which I guess I would consider white. But I could be wrong. (Again, that's based on what limited information I was able to find. Certainly nothing definitive.)

See above post, by my junior year I was big enough to wrestle against 197/Hwt. Wasn't a daily thing, but sometimes the odd-man out didn't have anybody to wrestle. I liked getting the feel of how strong those guys were.

Like I posted, I was a middleweight as a freshman. I didn't wrestle against 197/Hwt guys until my junior year. By then I was walking around in the upper 180's. In the previous couple years, I wouldn't wrestle those guys.
