  1. Before I "invest" the entirety of my retirement savings in this incredible opportunity, I have one question: Isn't the phrase "once-in-a-lifetime memories" an oxymoron in this case? Not that there's anything wrong with that. I've actually had a few memories that I'll never forget but none of them involved anything vaguely like this.
  2. Not at all. Would it have clarified it if I'd have used a couple exclamation marks?
  3. If you've never seen the movie "The Commitments", I highly recommend it.
  4. The band with a half dozen lead singers.
  5. Formal logic, Pastry style. That's some deep stuff. I may have to reconsider the validity of my college education...
  6. It's truly sad that you have to be a lying, a$$kissing, back stabbing scumball with zero ethics, principles, or decency to get to Washington. I suppose other than that, they're fine folk.
  7. They try to reserve that for off-camera. Or as a young engineer I used to work with used to say, You gotta pay extra for that kinda action.
  8. I was at the Wisc vs Cornell dual Nov 19. I just watched the Wisc/PSU dual video. I think Hilger put on a lot of weight in the 6 weeks between the two. He did not look like that vs Cornell.
  9. Do they add more time when someone falls down motionless from a near-miss, the ambulance comes on the field, a priest gives last rites, and after a total of 10 minutes the guy miraculously pops up ready to play again? Or do I have soccer confused with pro rasslin?
  10. Reminds me of a story. When I was in high school our 250 lber was legendary for eating. He always said when he got home from school, he would eat at his Gramas across the street, then have supper at home. One of the other kids on the team had a car and used to give us a ride home after practice. One night we went to the Red Barn fast food joint, like Mickey Ds. When the girl asked what we wanted, the 250 lber said "Give me 6 Big Macs". She said they didn't have Big Macs, they had Big Barneys. He said "Give me 6 of them too".
  11. Nope real NCAA ref. Name rhymes with Nat Lorochinsky. Not bashful with the stall call.
  12. I'm gonna guess she wouldn't be teaching at trump University. However, trump will be teaching Nepotism 6501, and Arrears and Bankruptcy 7655. He can both teach and do. What a guy...
  13. Depends on the ref. If he let Bravo-Young ride his unicycle in reverse the whole match, he'd have a chance. With a ref that made Bravo-Young engage from neutral, Lee by major decision at least. PS, I can recommend a ref.
  14. Lol! I wouldn't believe trump, any of his family, any of his cronies, or anything he was within 50 miles of. There's an old saying that seems especially appropriate here... Back when trump and rudy g were palsies, one of them would lie and the other would swear to it. I'm gonna extrapolate that a little lot...
  15. Much like the way the Yankees are pretty much crowned WS champs every year before the season starts, yet come October they never fail to underachieve even if they at least make the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Phillies, Cubs, Natinals (remember the shirts!), or some other team overachieves. It's only logical (to BP anyway) if a lot is expected of you, it's much easier to disappoint than to exceed expectations. And vice versa. @Wrestleknownothing always does a great job of showing us, mathematically, what we think intuitively ought to be the case. That's extra cool. He can even show us when our intuition can deceive us, and how. He's a handy feller to have around, that's for sure.
  16. The even sadder thing is that this works very well for them and makes them rich powerful men and women.
  17. I'm not sure if this was for my benefit. I would think from my post directly before yours, and others, you may have a clue that I realize the problem is the tax code, which is a product of a "play for pay" system we have in Washington. My comment about trump's groupies assembling at the IRS only assumed they wouldn't know the difference, among many other things they don't know.
  18. I use berniepragle_incarlsbasement_onplanetearth.com No issues so far
  19. Once we resolve the issue of the legality of trump's tax situation, if it is found that he is not guilty of any tax fraud I think we have an even larger problem in our country. If a person that is as wealthy as him can legally pay only $750 in federal tax for a year, the general tax-paying public (pretty much defined as what's left of the middle class) should be outraged regardless of where they are on the political spectrum. It's pretty obvious (to BP anyway) that taxes are a zero sum game. If trump and his ilk are not paying them, you, me, and Bobby Mcgee are. Having said this, whether or not he is found guilty of anything illegal, I would expect his supporters to organize another of their "love-ins" at the headquarters of the IRS this time.
  20. I strongly suspect that simply means the defense contractors' lobbyists are better at filling the pockets of the scumbags we (somehow) keep sending to DC than some other lobbyists. Those others are pretty good too though.
  21. No shot at you or anybody. Just intended to get a laugh. Nothing more, nothing less.
  22. Two great stories about the wrestling match and the govt registration fiasco. You would probably like one of my sayings about government and big business: Nothing's simple anymore. If it is simple, we'll figure out a way to make it complicated. When you combine the two, then you have $800 B defense budget, etc, etc. Oh, the stories I could tell you...
  23. Oh no! You mean that $800+ billion we spend each year on "defense" is wasted? Please say it isn't so. Now, that last part was funny. Thanks. After reading the problems other people on here, much better than me at such things, have with streaming, I'll pass unfortunately. Many years ago I came up with a principle we live by... My wife and I don't pay someone to be frustrated by technology. We both were paid very well for that at times. If I could just click the ON button, click the CHANNEL button, and adjust the VOLUME, I'd watch a lot. But I'm not paying someone for me to dick around with the problems they created and can't seem to solve.
