  1. Tracking how criminals get guns. Exactly. Why do you suppose we don't do that? My assertion is that ultimately it would cost the gun manufacturers sales and that's why it's not done. Money. Sad. The second one was half tongue in cheek. It just seems that a lot of these idiots that shoot up a school, supermarket, whatever have body armor on. The same reason they have the preferred weapon... the image, it's cool. It just simply glorifies this sort of thing. I've also said these military wannabes should join the service and take their talents to Iraq, Afghanistan, wherever. It is a complex issue, but as long as the NRA can keep everyone arguing the semantics of "assault rifle", you don't have to worry about anything getting done. The ones making money are protected. That's truly what's important in Washington, sadly.
  2. Either my logic is flawed, or that should be obvious.
  3. A couple of things off the top of my head: 1) Everytime there is a conviction of a felony which involves a firearm, have a determination of how the perpetrator obtained the gun. In the normal world, this is called Root Cause Analysis. It's a process of determining how/why things happen. This would never happen because in most cases eventually there would be a line drawn to gun and ammo dealers and manufacturers. Their cash cow is protected by their wise investments in lobbyists and politicians in Washington. 2) Outlaw the sale of body armor to private citizens. No, I'm not kidding. Am I not correct in saying that the majority of mass shootings anymore are commited by some jackwagon with a weapon that shouldn't be in civilian hands in my opinion (but no thanks I'm not gonna get into the semantics BS of "assult rifle"), outfitted in his body armor. I would ask, Why does any private citizen need body armor, but that would be too close to the Why does any private citizen need... I'm assuming here that the body armor manufacturers don't control as many lawmakers as the gun and ammo manufacturers do.
  4. Iowa fans think PSU was stalling, PSU fans think Iowa was stalling. Some people think both were stalling. In the immortal words of Vincent Lauria, "If everybody's doin' it, that's a whole lotta people doin' it". Gotta do something about it.
  5. You get some of that WVa moonshine, you might see anything. Or you might NOT see anything.
  6. I don't know if you watched tOSU v Mich just before. The ref, Matt Sorochinsky, best in the NCAA, called stalling in both the 125 and 133 matches. That sets the tone. All you needed was a ref with the cajones to call stalling, esp on PSU and Cael, in BJC. Bricks, f&%$ing video reviews, etc take match control away from the refs. IMO, that's 75% of the problem.
  7. @MPhillips Did those boys stay at Casa de Phillips last night? Did they get a pep talk? They looked pretty good.
  8. Sure. Facts aren't nearly what they used to be pre-internet. Thank you for making the game for us to play!
  9. The "or" is for Va Tech, not Pitt. I'll have this on one screen, BiG10 on the other.
  10. Bryce Andonian, Ed (headlock) Scott, Gomez, Spencer Lee, Vito, Hamiti, Brian Soldano, Wyatt Hendrickson, Ridge Lovett
  11. Maybe I was not clear enough. I meant a future where the price shown on the pump we were at changed as we watched, ready to pump. If I extrapolate from back when, to today, to the future, that's not so terribly far-fetched. You're just a youngster, I grew up riding donkeys and wearing fig leaves. Gaso-what?
  12. After reading what I wrote, most people wouldn't have to ask that question. There was the view of antiquity with the earth at the center of the universe. Then there was the Copernican heliocentrism. Now, there is another theory about what/whom is at the center of it all. Kudos to you, Sir.
  13. 3x PIAA AAA champ (easily could have been 4x), 3x NCAA champ so far. Sullivan Award. 2x Hodge trophy. While that in itself doesn't get you GOAT, I'm pretty sure it would get you BMOC for at least 8 years. Recognized by anyone in the US that has even the slightest interest in college wrestling as one of the best ever. Add in a college degree. Or, on the other hand... He could maybe have been recognized by the relatively small wrestling cognoscenti in the US because of international wrestling success. Maybe, just maybe Spencer Lee is more concerned with what the cute girls on campus think of him, rather than what a tiny group of old guys on a wrestling forum (maybe just one guy) think of him. Incomphrensible, huh?
  14. IaW with the goods. Is WKN off today and IaW is filling in? Dean Class of 87? I swear I saw him there back in the early 70s.
  15. A lot of us will be quite surprised if Steen makes it out of the first period.
  16. I'm waiting till Saturday morning for my final prediction in case anybody gets their lawyers involved.
  17. It's simply a "herd mentality". Everybody's watching everybody else. Somebody does something, everybody follows suit. The computers simply compress the time frame. I'm thinking some day we will be at the gas station and the price on the pump will change as we are filling up. Do we squeeze the handle now or do we wait for a better price?
  18. Bigger? Yeah. Stronger? I doubt it, especially grip strength. Longer reach? Yep. Faster? Yes, especially backing up. The way you make it sound, Bravo-Young ought to be dominating everybody, pins, mostly first period, kind of like... Spencer Lee. Will we see it? Very doubtful this year. Maybe somewhere down the road...
  19. Dr. Pragle's prescription is a 55 gal drum of Prep H.
  20. Art, Thanks. I didn't know that. That also may explain the lack of murders with firearms, lol. Never had a need to take a gun to Singapore. Come to think of it I've never had a need to take a gun to Chicago, Pittsburgh, Corning NY, Ithaca, NC PA, or any of the other places I've lived. Never took a gun to anywhere I've visited. I guess I'm just living on the edge. BP
  21. It would be "unconstitutional" to hang someone who commited (attempted) murder with a firearm? (Quotes around unconstitutional because I see that thrown around for everything from, well you know...)
