  1. Interesting cat - may want to work on self-awareness? He's not boring - which is something. Out sport does tend to have some big personalities!
  2. Temple, Syracuse, and West Chester should have wrestling revived - along with Yale
  3. damnit - should have used AI instead of foggy memory from hard noggin struck too many times
  4. prosecutorial discretion is quite broad - and not unsual to see aggressive charging decisions that may eventually be withdrawn or resolved for whatever reasons (like contrition)
  5. So Cornell looks like the Penn State of the Ivies. Penn looks like it has a path to 8 in the finals. Some may say this is the first Ivy Tourney, but the first one was in 1905 at Penn and started the EIWA tournament and probably collegiate wrestling tournaments. Think it was Penn, Yale and Columbia. Penn did not win the tournament until Syracuse in 1996 - 91 years but they stayed with it!
  6. that area of 9th has many fun and interesting restaraunts and is heavy on Italian options - most are not to expensive but also some higher end spots if you wish
  7. RIP - 75 is too young to pass on.
  8. voted PSU and have no idea who this guy is?
  9. hope he makes a full recovery and is 100% soon!
  10. Lost at Penn in OT to Cross Wasilewski, who is having a nice season and could shake it up at NCAAs!
  11. Dick DiBatista - undefeated and 2x champ. Not permitted to compete as freshman and NCAA's cancelled for WWII one year. The guy who he beat the first time apparently was older and an AAU champ and was so pissed he came after Dibi in the showers. Dibi said that he did not engage and others intervened.
  12. Intermat rankings 125 # 8 Lilledahl 133 #10 Romney 141 #6 Hardy 149 #14 Whalen 157 #11 Cannon 165 #5 Ramirez 174 #4 Kharchla 184 #6 Foca 197 #7 Little 285 #5 Trephan and #6 Schultz - hard to say where they are seeded amd ramked
  13. Let Jimmies alone! JC is so good that one is not enough!
  14. This might be a way. Able to use a grey shirt or an Olympic year - 2028 Olympics? Does the Olympic year thing apply to collegiate 2026-2027 season or only the 2027-2028 season? Would guess that several of the rostered PSU guys might be eligible when this comes around?
  15. funny - but there is always a risk of illness, concussion, skin check, or other disqualifying injury/problem as well as a Ramos-like pinfall of the top guy. Always a risk somebody baits him into upper body challenge posiiton and like Martinez he gets thrown to his back and pinned.
  16. Tip of the cap to Sammy for the courage and toughness in coming back and competing this season. Wish him the best in whatever comes next.
  17. Not sure the step out as adopted for NCAA wrestling would have to use the same (vague-ass) grounded exception. Agree step out rule would benefit Ferrari style and match strategy.
  18. Skeptical of the wisdom of step out points in NCAA wrestling. If it is coming, perhaps limit it to OT to start. Not sure it is better than TB riding time measure, but about the same.
  19. parity is for losers - winners win and don't seek parity
  20. shoulds have a wrestle-off but neither would make weight
  21. Data? Doubt this.
  22. Doubt it. Hasn't it always been the case of a few magnet programs dominating - even if PSU only joined that crowd with Cael and his team coaching?
  23. Jordan Leen employed neutral from the knees very well and I think in some of his most competitive matches there may have been some stall calls. But my memory is not sharp as to the match or specifics of the calls. Watching yesterday reminded me of Leen and of course AJ.
  24. better than this year? How good is Ryder?
