This would be a great line up. Are Parco & Teemer a package deal? I was hoping to see Caliendo at 157 and Kennedy at 165. Love to see Kennedy get an AA
125 - Drake - 1st
133 - Transfer??
141 - Alirez - 1st
149 - Parco - Top 4
157 - Teemer - Top 4
165 - Caliendo - top 2
174 - Arnold - 6th
184 - Brands/Ferrari - 4th
197 - Glazier - round 12
HWT - Kueter - 8th
The Iowa board has penciled in some transfers next year but I haven't seen any official word on commitments. Any truth that these 3 will be in the black and gold next year?
141 - Alirez
149 - Parco
157 - Teemer
HWT - Hendrickson
No, for several reasons.
1. Tournament is already 3 days...adding women would make it even longer.
2. It's a totally different sport right now - freestyle vs folkstyle.
3. Could you even find an interior arena big enough to hold all the mats needed?
I don't think so...a lot of guys don't have upside compared to last year (especially the guys who are defending NCAA champs)

I'm a huge Starocci fan but he's not really much of a freestyler. And he's a tweener size-wise.
It makes the most sense for him to win a 5th NCAA title then parlay that into a UFC career. There's no reason he can't be as big (or bigger) prospect for UFC than Bo Nickal.
Rutgers has to rely on sloppy seconds (or third). It got them their first two NCAA champs but they've yet to become a top 10 team. Until they corner the market on elite NJ wrestlers they will struggle to break into the top tier of teams.
