  1. In the past I would have suggested Rutgers, but Iowa, despite the gambling suspensions, probably takes the title with 7 out of 10 starters being transfers (Cruz, Teske, Woods, Voinovich, Franek, Swafford, and Caliendo). But I'm wondering if another school might dethrone them for the title of "Transfer U"? My school, Penn State, sports 3 transfer starters (Nagao, Messenbrink, Truax). Note I don't count Kerk as a transfer since he never actually competed in another school's singlet despite previously committing to other schools.
  2. I can't see Facundo starting and Haines sitting.
  3. @KCMO2 that's not quite accurate. Iowa fans were claiming Waters was the one who illegally slammed (himself).
  4. I thought of another one:
  5. I don't follow. This Ross?
  6. Another other good examples? Here is my contribution, as a Penn State fan:
  7. What if they lost another 2? How many starters have to go out before they are no longer the favorites?
  8. 125 - Robbie Howard has chronic shoulder issues. There is a very high chance he does not make it to NCAAs healthy. Replacement Gary Steen / Kurt McHenry both suffer from being undersized for the weight. 157 - Haines supposedly is up for a redshirt too to improve over his runner-up performance last year. Can Messenbrink make 157 to replace him? 174 - Starocci wants to take a Olympic redshirt. Can Josh Barr make this weight? Given Iowa may be without some of its starters due to the gambling suspension I have to say yes. If Gable comes back (as has been rumored) I think this hurts Kerkvliet's chances of finally winning a title though.
  9. Of the recent commits / rostered wrestlers who have yet to wrestle in the blue and white, who are you most excited about? Braden Davis - 125/133 Josh Barr - 174/184 Tyler Kasak - 149/157 Cole Mirasola - 197/HWT Connor Mirasola - 184/197 Zach Ryder - 165/174 Luke Lilledahl - 125 Joseph Sealey - 165/174 Mason Gibson - 125
  10. I'm sure this has been discussed before but what are some examples of years where the best dual team DID NOT win NCAAs?
  11. Cody Sanderson?
  12. Wow one of the perps is a 15 year old girl Hope they both get charged with attempted murder.
  13. What's odd about it? It's the athlete's faith, not Cael's. It could be faith in a deity, deities or oneself... Faith =/= religion
  14. According to this ranking it's going to be a pretty down year for the Big 10
  15. Iowa at #8 has to be the lowest in several decades. Team: 1 PSU T2 Missouri, VT 4 Cornell 5 Nebraska 6 Michigan 7 Arizona State 8 Iowa 9 NC State 10 OKST

  17. So sad to hear Sammy has severe spinal cord injuries. Hopefully he will learn to walk again fully but it sounds like his days of NCAA D1 wrestling are over. I hope Ohio State dedicates this season to him, maybe with a 'SS' decal on the singlet or headgear. I would certainly buy a SS t-shirt if they made them available. Prayers up for a PA boy, Sammy Sassso.
  18. The Fightin' Iowa Hawkeyes are no more...introducing the Gamblin' Iowa Snake-Eyes!
