  1. This restarts the PA pipeline to Iowa like when Spencer came to Iowa. Bo will be the next Lee.
  2. As expected.
  3. I don't see Barr beating Buchanon or Ferrari this year. He looked very small compared to Buchanon who big brothered him. I would expect AJ to do the same.
  4. How could he think trash talking a 4x NCAA champ would make Brands more likely to let him wrestle?
  5. So we have to assume Gabe just didn't know Brands wouldn't let him wrestle? Otherwise it means Arnold was trash talking with full knowledge that he would never have to back it up.
  6. He literally just turned 18 a month ago.
  7. Penn State 125 LL 7 (no change) 133 Davis 7 (no change) 141 Bartlett 3 (no change) 149 SVN 3 (+1) 157 Kasak 1 (+2) 165 MM 1 (no change) 174 Haines 2 (no change) 184 Starocci 1 (no change) 197 Barr 4 (no change) HWT Kerk 2 (no change) Across 10 wrestlers Penn State averages a rank of 3.1 and projects to 10 AAs and 3 champs.
  8. Is he going to get another medical RS? He graduated high school in 2018 and looks like he could still be wrestling in college in 2026.
  9. I mean, kids typically continue growing until they hit 21. There's reason to believe he isn't fully grown now as a high school junior.
  10. This is exactly what Askren said. He said if you are a top recruit, don't go to Iowa. Go to another school first, then get paid a huge bag to transfer to Iowa.
  11. Do we know for certain it wasn't his decision?
  12. And it only worked out for Nick. Joe and Matt can't crack a starting lineup.
  13. So he will likely be wrestling 157 or higher when he starts in college.
  14. I was assuming he would pick Iowa since it is lightweight U, but it seems like he might start his college career as a middleweight? 149 or 157? He probably grows into an upperweight by the end of his career. If so, Penn State probably makes more sense.
  15. No, they actually have a super strong recruiting class coming in even without him. But I think they are getting Bo so it's a moot point.
  16. It's a weird tactic to spend so much time trash talking a wrestler and never wrestle said wrestler when given the chance...
  17. I'm not anti-Starocci. I think he wins his 5th title in March. I just think MM and Kasak are having better seasons so far.
  18. Except that match technically doesn't count since it was an all-star match.
  19. Except I'm ranking them solely based on this season's performance so far.
  20. Sounds crazy, but currently I think it might be true if we are measuring on their performance this season so far. 1. Mesenbrink. Literally tech falled EVERYONE including the flame-haired Greek God #2 Michael Caliendo. 2. Kasak. I think he should be ranked #1 after beating Teemer. 3. Starocci. Less than impressive in squeaking out a win vs a redshirt Ferrari. 4. Kerk. If not for the presence of Steveon he might be higher on the list. 5. SVN. Dominant major win over #2 Parco. I think he can beat Lovett. 6. Haines. Solid season so far, still favor KOT over him. 7. Barr. Looked small vs Buchannon and clearly got big brothered on bottom. 8. Bartlett. Undefeated but capable of losing to any of the top guys. 9. Lilledahl. Nice to see him break out the offense. Still have a considerable gap between him and the top 125 pounders. 10. Davis. I still have him as a 2-2 guy in March until he shows me more.
  21. Neutral Offense: Steveson Baseline Defense: Crookham Scrambling: KOT Speed: Ferrari Pace: Mesenbrink Top: Lovett Bottom: Mendez Mental: Starocci
  22. Teemer is a returning national finalist, is super explosive, and has spent a year in a better room than ASU. He is rightly favored.
  23. It's because SVN was majored by Lovett a few weeks ago and Parco has looked very good this year.
  24. No to Davis getting a takedown on Ayala. I think Barr can score a TD on Buchanon but I would favor Buchanon to win the match.
