  1. I am glad Kamala will not be president. I would prefer De Santis were going to be president. But I liked the policies of 2017 to 2021 and am looking forward to similar policies the next 4 years. It is apparent many feel the same. There is no hero worship for Trump on my part. He is a man with many flaws. I stated many times I did not want him to be the R choice for President. But he was. He did well for the country when he was president. I did not want a repeat of the 4 years we have suffered through, so Kamala was not my choice. The only hero status I have for him is that he put it in the face of the Ds and media and everyone could see how they lie and hide the truth. I think also, they could see how the Ds and the media were for censorship which is apparent in the prosecutions they have done against ordinary citizens as well as admissions by facebook and twitter. I think they also saw the border for what is it was rather than what we were being told. When you have illegal alien gangs taking over apartment buildings, you cannot say this is an isolated case and not to worry. It obviously will come to a neighborhood closer if nothing is done. And nothing was being done. Actually, we have a lot to be thankful for that we now know these things as a country and are not led to and fro with every wind of change. We see clearly what the last 4 years has done to our country. The Ds have no one to blame but their own arrogant selves. I don't consider that hero worship when I wish it wasn't him that was going to be president. mspart
  2. Lots of people are not the Treasury Secretary. She got it completely wrong. No excuses. She should have handed in her resignation. She should have fully understood or foreseen what was coming but she didn't. The markert has had their say on the new Treasury Secretary. You might be correct about further inflation. But you might not be either. We shall see. mspart
  3. Janet Yellen regarding inflation: https://www.nbcnews.com/business/economy/treasury-secretary-janet-yellen-admits-was-wrong-inflation-rcna31416 U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said she was wrong about how severe inflation would be. In an interview with CNN, Yellen was shown previous remarks she'd made last year where she indicated there would only be a "small risk" of inflation, and that it would be "manageable." In response, Yellen said, "Well, look, I think I was wrong then about the path that inflation would take." She continued: "As I mentioned, there have been unanticipated and large shocks to the economy that have boosted energy and food prices, and supply bottlenecks that have affected our economy badly, that I didn’t at the time didn’t fully understand. But we recognize that now the federal reserve is taking the steps that it needs to take." Talk about incomepent. That was her job and she still has her job. Biden has fired no one. mspart

The list above was published in Aug 2024 so there have been additions since then. mspart
  5. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/dei-rollback-reaches-walmart-as-backlash-mounts-this-is-the-biggest-win-yet-170752846.html DEI rollback reaches Walmart as backlash mounts: 'This is the biggest win yet' Walmart (WMT) is scaling back some of its diversity initiatives, becoming one of the most prominent companies yet to make such an about-face as activist pressure mounts. The world's largest retail chain told Yahoo Finance that it would cease using the acronym DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion), no longer participate in a corporate equality rating system created by the Human Rights Campaign and end its $100 million Center for Racial Equity that was scheduled to sunset in 2025. The company will also remove from its available merchandise all sexually inappropriate and transgender products marketed to children, review its supplier diversity program to ensure that no preferences are made based on race, and stop using the term "LatinX" in official communications to refer to people of Latin American cultural or ethnic identities. Are they doing this because DEI is a net positive to their bottom line? Of course it is not a net positive or they would continue with DEI. mspart
  6. Homan was on Fox last night and cited federal code stating that harboring illegal aliens is a federal felony. Harboring as in illegals in jail and the city and/or state won't allow ICE to go in and get them. I think Homan is serious. mspart
  7. I think you are typing in hyberbole. mspart
  8. Attack the person rather than the post. It is a time honored tradition around here. mspart
  9. Are you sure he hasn't figured that out in his Will or Trust? I'm not 100% you are wrong here, but I'm feeling pretty sure you are. mspart
  10. He is not my hero. But he used the bankruptcy laws of the land and is still a billionaire. Perhaps the bankruptcy laws need to change. mspart
  11. So that means no other media outlet has lied knowingly? You are living in an alternate reality. mspart

  13. I think you are not telling the whole story here. mspart
  14. Wow, that crazy news. mspart
  15. We've been through that before. It was a waste of time. If Ds are capable of learning and adapting like most humans, they will excise this from their playbook. mspart
  16. If he is still a billionaire after going bankrupt 6 times, that seems like a pretty good business model. Using the laws of the land to his advantage. mspart
  17. We are grousing about Trump's picks. What about Biden's picks? Any concern with any of these? Alejandro Mayorkis - Fails to keep the homeland safe from illegal entry of thugs and criminals and terrorists, people from over 150 countries coming in via the southern border. All along he says the border is under control. Lying right to our faces. Discuss. mspart
  18. MSNBC among other media companies helped Kamala lose the election due to: 1. Continue the lie that Biden was better than 100% when people could plainly see he wasn't. 2. That scientists that said the Covid most likely orginated in a lab were called kooks and deniers by MSNBC and other media. 3. Calling Kamala a drag on Bidens campaign and then all of the sudden she is the savior of the D party. People could plainly see through t hat bunch of lies that MSNBC and media dictated. 4. The joy campaign that all media companies, including MSNBC, said about Kamala. A little suspicious when every outlet is saying the same thing. Give credence to lies they tell. 5. Obvious political leanings of MSNBC and other media that say they are neutral. 6. Calling Trump a Hitler and fascist when we saw his 4 years and saw none of that. I need not go on. Yes, examples can be found everywhere. But alternative reality? Nice try. mspart

  20. She created a whole new level of obnoxious word salad that will not be surpassed for years. Tough to break that ceiling. mspart
  21. Elon looking to buy MSNBC maybe. Folks at MSNBC are very worried that they can no longer lie for a living. What a sweet gig they have. mspart

  23. What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some crustaceans, you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week -- which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. And I don't like it anymore than you men. So I think everyone is correct here. Insurance companies don't have anything to invest if they don't sell insurance. But what that tells you is that they bring in a lot more than they payout generally speaking. So they invest the difference and that is what makes almost all of the profit for them and increases their ability to payout when the big storms happen. Honestly, I can't believe I am sticking up for our arrogant and testy crustacean. But he is our crustacean after all!! mspart
  24. I wish I had 5 million in my 401K. No matter how much I wish it, it just doesn't happen. mspart
  25. White House chief of staff: Susie Wiles Attorney general: Pam Bondi (after Matt Gaetz withdrew) U.N. ambassador: Elise Stefanik Secretary of education: Linda McMahon Secretary of homeland security: Kristi Noem Director of national intelligence: Tulsi Gabbard White House press secretary: Karoline Leavitt Yep, he is scared of strong women.
