The doctor ordered a cat scan to check for brain swelling. No bones were broke. No brains were swelled. Time healed all wounds. My insurance sent had me describe the 5Ws and How the accident occurred. The health care bill was only covered 20%. My insurance explained that the average cost of a cat scan in my community was 80% lower than I was charged. I provided a dictionary definition of community, and google mapped how this ER was the only hospital in my community. The insurance group paid my bill. 15 years later, I am still angry.
