  1. No #4 ranked wrestler has ever been a title contender. Why start now?
  2. Any idea what Gabe Arnold weighed against OSU?
  3. Kansas City Chiefs starting left guard is Mike Caliendo. 6'4" 301. Not sure how he will make weight this week. https://www.chiefs.com/team/players-roster/mike-caliendo/
  4. Are these all decisions? Or do you want to sprinkle in any bonus?
  5. He didn't. It is a bit of an optical illusion. At 1:08:05 he is clearly holding up three with his last three fingers and his palm facing away. At 1:08:06 he turns his palm facing in while still holding up three. But the camera angle is such that his middle finger mostly blocks the view of the other two fingers. But if you freeze frame it you can still see at least the pinky sticking up also. No bird. Final answer.
  6. Iowa/PSU week is upon us. #1 vs #2 Anything can happen. Throw out the record books when these two meet. But before you throw it out here are a few tidbits from it: Iowa leads the all-time series 28-13-2, though PSU is on a three dual winning streak. Largest Iowa Margin of Victory = 33 (1990 @ Iowa City 36-3) Largest PSU Margin of Victory = 23 (2024 @ Iowa City 29-6) I took a look back and was surprised to see this is year four of aggregating predictions on the Iowa/PSU dual duel. As in years past, post your match by match predictions here. I will aggregate the results along with predictions I find on HVI and HR to come up with a "wisdom of the crowds" prediction as well as a closest to the pin prediction. Iowa/PSU Prediction Hall of Fame: 2022 - @flyingcement while only getting 8 of 10 matches correct (9 was the highest @Plasmodium, and PSUNatChamps) cement defied gravity and all others in nailing the final score PSU 19 - Iowa 13 2023 - @Barracuda141 & @PortaJohn both failed to live up to concrete's level of perfection, but did come within 2 points of nailing the final score. Meanwhile @Mr. PeanutButter and @Holtfan went a perfect 10 for 10 picking individual match winners. 2024 - For 2024 I got a little carried away with scoring, but lets just focus on team score and correct matches for now. Come on down @MLB9 & @Dogbone and accept your nomination to the HOF for closest to the pin final score within 1 point. Getting 9 of 10 was so easy that even your author achieved it (without any actual knowledge of wrestling) along with @Interviewed_at_Weehawken, @CHROMEBIRD, @Truzzcat, and @Perry Prediction Tie Breaker: What weight does Gabe "Head Hunter" Arnold wrestle? 174? 184? No weight at all?
  7. Not alleged. Actual. His DJT stock alone is worth $3.75 billion.
  8. I may be childlike, but I am definitely no child
  9. My mother said I was a very literal child. Like George Costanza if all my instincts are wrong the opposite would be right.
  10. My understanding is the opposite. RBY said the last thing Sanderson said to him before his first final was, "In 10 years, no one will remember this." Then you have Mesenbrink lecturing a reporter to stop focusing on results, focus on getting better. Sounds like he is channelling a coach's message.
  11. I was planning on doing my annual Iowa/PSU predictions thread but I usually start on Monday. Good way to goof off at work. Wouldn't want to waste valuable weekend time.
  12. Somewhere the '72 Dolphins cracked a bottle of Champagne, and they don't even know why.
  13. They were definitely flat last night. But that is also an annual thing. Train hard now and taper for NCAAs. If it means some shaggy performances in January to get your best in March, then so be it.
  14. Just watched the recording. An escape and 7 takedowns in 1:19 for Barr? Yowza.
  15. A lie for all occasions.
  16. Correct Parco and McGee for three years each. And Ryan Millhof for one year (only qualified for the tournament one year of three years at ASU). Cory Crooks left ASU for Oregon State. Bubba Jenkins was too early to make the list.
  17. That doesn't look like holding open a door. Or a window.
  18. This will sound like pandering to @WrestlingRasta, but a lot of Toots and the Maytals lately mixed in with classical.
  19. Thanks for the list. Teske is: two wrestler years out, but no points out for PSU, then two wrestler years in with 5.5 points at Northern Iowa, then wrestler out, with 1.5 points out at Northern Iowa (his last year total then two wrestler years in, with 4.5 points in for Iowa
  20. I have a correction to the description of the table. It is wrestler years, not distinct wrestlers. So Kerkvliet counts for 4 wrestler years of the 9 total gained by PSU, for example.
  21. As a prominent NIL recipient, I would be happy to quote you my price.
  22. Penn State trails Ohio State and Iowa for transfers brought in from 2014 - 2024. Iowa is second now, but will be top of the heap after counting this season. This narrative that only PSU recruits over, or even does it the most, is incorrect.
