  1. A couple of thoughts: I never said insurrection. I have not misrepresented the facts. All you have said is what you think did not happen. Just another attempt at minimization. That is what I railed against, and will continue to rail against. That is the lie that keeps getting repeated.
  2. Reason number .... I lost count .... that I am not on social media.
  3. I do not recall that. I rarely, very rarely, and only occasionally at the margin, agree with him, but I am unwilling to go the 100% certified trash route. There was one guy who used to be on this board that was certified trash. I reserve that category for him.
  4. I always struggle with this argument. The underlying assumption is those quality HS wrestlers do not already have the option to wrestle somewhere else where they might actually make the starting line-up and have a chance to compete. They do already have this option.
  5. What a terrible thing to say with absolutely no evidence. And as for statements like @Bigbrog's COMPLETELY overblown and @Ohio Elite's overblown joke, those are absurd. Something like this had never happened before. Not even remotely close. People invaded the capital with the expressed intent to interrupt the peaceful transition of power - an absolute hallmark of our freedom, legislators were forced to barricade the doors and ultimately seek more secure locations, rioters chanted "hang Mike Pence" while invading the capitol, legislators private offices were invaded and documents stolen, someone took a shiit on one of their desks. And yes, several people died as a direct result according to @Caveira's own linked article. The many, many, many attempts to portray that as just another day in the life, peaceful protest, overblown, blah, blah, blah, are mind boggling to me. Just keep repeating the lie.
  6. We are down to 8 teams with 10 ranked wrestlers in at least one of Intermat, Flo, and WrestleStat. Of those only 6 are consensus. As a bonus included the teams with 9, 8, or 7 ranked wrestlers in at least one service. The color is based on expected AAs. So while PSU has 10 ranked, they are only expected to have 8 AAs (bright green). And while Army has between 5 and 7 ranked wrestlers they are only expected to have between 0.2 and 0.4 AAs (dark red). The sort is based on number of ranked wrestlers. So while Rutgers is above Iowa with their 9 or 10 ranked wrestlers to Iowa's 7 to 9, Iowa's wrestlers are expected to produce many more AAs (6 to Rutgers 1, plus or minus).
  7. I think this was a thread on the old board, but I figured I would bring the story full circle. The wrestling angle was due to the fact that the deli at the heart of the fraud had been owned by longtime wrestling coach, Paul Morina. Morina had nothing to do with the fraud. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/12/19/father-son-plead-guilty-in-100-million-new-jersey-deli-stock-scheme.html
  8. If he weighed 184 at Soldier Salute then it takes 26 days. Which would get him there for the OSU dual. Assuming he doesn't weigh in at 184 again.
  9. To hear Arnold's dad describe it, Arnold will leave that decision to Brands.
  10. There you have it. Clerical error. I wonder if it happened when they were updating Arnold's weight.
  11. And Gabe Arnold now listed at 174. Hmmm.
  12. Not listed on the Iowa roster at the moment. Perhaps a clerical error? https://hawkeyesports.com/sports/wrestling/roster
  13. That shot of the cheerleaders is awesome.
  14. Spoiler/Apology: Given that I only became interested in college wrestling in 2018 my list is very PSU heavy. In no particular order, though I saved Number 1 for the end: Nick Lee (saw live) Jason Nolf (live) Zain Retherford (live) Bo Nickal (live) Cael Sanderson (via clips) Dan Gable (via clips) Spencer Lee (live) Dan Hodge (via conversations with Mike Chapman) Vito Arujau (live) Tom Brands (via clips) Kyle Snyder (live) Mike Macchiavello (live in an elevator, actually two elevators) Mark Hall (live) Vincenzo Joseph (live) Numero Uno - Kyle Todrank He danced on Jason Nolf and lived (barely) to talk about it
  15. If you change the question to "how many non-injured starters were missing?" I think the answer is one. For Cornell: Not 100% sure about Diakomihalis, but he hasn't wrestled since November It looks like Ferrara is the new starter after Ungar got the early look Dellagatta is took two forfeits without wrestling at the Bobby Kaufman Open the day before the dual, so not sure what is happening there. The only presumptive starter that did not go was Fernandez. For Missouri: Looks like Seltzer is the new starter after Gioffre got the early look. Seltzer has wrestled the last 4 duals while Gioffre was sent to the Soldier Salute. Steed was injured at the Journeymen O'Toole is out for the month due to injury as announced by Smith.
  16. OK, you bunch of Debbie Downers, this Friday the schedule really begins. Conference duals get under way in earnest.
  17. Hilariously, after this result UNI moves down 2 spots in the wrestlestat dual rankings to #7 and Nebraska remains at #4. https://www.wrestlestat.com/d1/rankings/dual
  18. And somewhere @jajensen09 wept
  19. Shouldn't it be diVestiture?
  20. No doubt the in season tournaments are a pale imitation of what they used to be.
  21. Your apathy has caused you to not pay attention. There have been a ton of top 10 match ups. O'Toole v Haines Ramos v Spratley Ayala v Knox Hardy v Jamison Lovett v Henson Downey v Taylor Keckeisen v Plott Buchanan v Munoz Hendricksen v Feldman
  22. I love all the people.
