Very happy to have him, enjoyed the little chippiness towards the current big dogs. Now if only we could avoid the brothers... -

Undoubtedly the funniest outcome for the general public is Iowa missing out on him and only getting the middle brother, who is also the worst prospect and, by many accounts, the one who CONSISTENTLY behaves poorly (obviously the stuff AJ is legally accused of is worse than anything Anthony has faced at this point). -
https://www.pennstatewrestlingclub.org/content/read_news.php?id=53 #12 overall recruit according to Intermat, I suppose (articles this old are hard to find, so you may have better sources than me). Shocking that the troll be trollin'.

Minnow has already openly admitted to lying about Iowa recruiting topics. He's a bad faith actor.

How are these guys going in the portal? Did the media guys just not pick up on it?

I have one lifelong friend where we greet each other this way every time we see each other. "Well if it isn't Mike Honcho himself." -

ChatGPT answer: Willie Saylor is a prominent figure in the world of amateur wrestling, specifically known for his work as a journalist and analyst covering high school wrestling. He gained recognition through his contributions to wrestling media, providing extensive coverage and analysis of high school wrestling events, athletes, and rankings. Willie Saylor was the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Flowrestling.org, a popular wrestling media outlet that covers a wide range of wrestling events and provides in-depth coverage of high school, college, and international wrestling. I'm sure some sex philosopher/alleged slumlord has some thoughts or, perhaps, "old ski town jokes." -

285 Tiers Discussion, 2023-2024 InterMat Edition
VakAttack replied to nhs67's topic in College Wrestling
I feel like I was pretty clear that Cassioppi belong on his own second tier, not in the tier with Hendrickson and Kerkvliet. The Kerkvliet wins are not evidence in my mind that he belongs in the same tier as Kerkvliet, given Kerk's recent results against him, but further evidence as to why he should be above Schultz and Davison, who he is also undefeated against. -

No, but then I wouldn't be shocked if Cass beat Kerkvliet again. I wouldn't pick it or wager money on it, but the previous results have happened, and it's more than one. Plus, if the rule change go into effect about top wrestling, Kerkvliet among other Penn State guys is going to have to figure out the top wrestling "sit on the ankle situation". -

VakAttack replied to nhs67's topic in College Wrestling
For some reason I thought Cass had wrestled Davison multiple times two years ago so I was trying to be comically hyperbolic, but apparently it was once, so poor memory on my part. He's still 6-0 combined against both guys, and again, has multiple wins over Kerkvliet. I stand by my argument. -

Cass probably belongs in his own tier, since he has never lost to either Schultz (3-0) or Davison (like 30-0), and has multiple wins over Kerkvliet. He obviously doesn't belong in Tier 1, but also seems to me to have a division between him and other two in @nhs67's tiers. -
Cat fights and purse slapping over on the Iowa Board
VakAttack replied to PSUSMC's topic in College Wrestling
My point is not that this kind of thinking doesn't exist and hasn't existed for years. Personally, I'm glad for people to be called to account, but I don't think there will be a nexus between the two things in terms of ending sports programs for something of this nature. Nicolls is an asshole as evidenced by the slumlord stuff and exhibited obvious and gross misogyny in his post, as did the other guy who called her a skank. It would be a nice world where people didn't take the money from people like that, but I don't think that's the world we live in at this point, not even close. If those guys were actually the coaches or athletes? Maybe, but even then, I just think that coach or athlete would be gone. It would have to be something widespread, or something so awful, like the Sandusky/Paterno thing. Now obviously even that didn't take down Penn State football, but football is a money sport. If something like that happened in a niche sport, I think it's possible that in that scenario, the niche sport program would be shuttered. As to me calling it out, thanks for the words, but to me, it's just the base of what we SHOULD expect from people. I root for Iowa, but it doesn't define me. I've told people before who ask me, but I do't get THAT worked up about it, probably because it isn't something that has been rooted in me since I was a small child. When Iowa loses, it's lame. I get nervous rooting for the different wrestlers, like Marinelli against Amine two years ago. But it doesn't ruin my day when they lose. The NY Giants do that to me. The Knicks do that to me. Sometimes the Mets do that to me. Maybe if I was that invested in Iowa the program, I would do what some of the fans on HR have been doing and making excuses for Nicolls, but I would hope I would still be true to who I am and what I believe is right. -

Ahhhh yes, we'd add it to the long list of programs ended by having asshole boosters from whom they take money. Say, who's on that list? -

I agree, Bob didn't call her a skank. He just insinuated it instead, like a real man. -
So the Ferraris are now Iowa commits?
VakAttack replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
No, because Anthony isn't "comited" anywhere else. -
