  1. Lol, fair. On the whole, there's more action.
  2. Attendance was way up, specifically for MFS. As has been stated many times, the reason the NCAA tournament (and only the NCAA tournament) significantly outdraws the US Open (as far as tournaments; several duals also outdraw) is because of the team affiliations. We are a tribal country, we respond to laundry more than individuals, typically. Anybody who has watched both arguing that folkstyle has MORE action than Freestyle is ridiculous. Somebody may prefer folkstyle, but to argue it has more action?
  3. Suriano looks like he's been training at Ohio State.
  4. Saw Wyatt Hendrickson in person today. Mother of God he looks like a suoerhero.
  5. I saw him, I can confirm at least he's much lighter than I've previously seen him. Bummed that he didn't compete.
  6. *they say they didn't take biggest NIL offer. Now, I wouldn't say it's improbable that the three biggest transfers on the market all went to the same school AND took a discount. It's certainly possible that Penn State's excellence got them a discount on the bag, but they do have reason to not be entirely truthful. But.even if they did take a discount, they still took a bag. And I don't think there's anything wrong with that! Nor do I fault them for going to Penn State, even though I think on the whole the poaching is bad for the sport. People matter more, so while I don't like either option (kids movements are restricted and the sport stays more viable vs. kids can move more freely and capitalistically and the sport suffers because smaller programs lose athletes/become feeder programs) I would side with the individual having the same rights as everybody and the ability to make money like everybody else.
  7. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/fox-news-tucker-carlson-secret-dossier-oppo-file-1234723855/ Oh yes, let's get weird.
  8. Turns out, maybe Joseph Smith was right.
  9. Oh no, Minnow's credibility is in tatters now....
  10. "Faux GOAT" and "Lord Spencer" are direct shots at Lee, not the fans. Here's the thing a bout Iowa fans talking about Cael: A lot of them ARE insulting him and don't like him as well as the Penn State fans, and they're open about it. So that's a bad comparison for your point. A shot at the fans in that scenario would be the old "isn't it crazy how wrestling started in 2010?" which is the most common refrain that is directed at their fans. Against Iowa it would be some version of "delusionally living in the past" or something like that. This ain't that. It's direct shots at Spencer, he's not wrong that he got hated on a lot.
  11. Public Defender, man. I ain't got it like that.
  12. I do not believe she referred to him as the "faux GOAT" or "Lord Spencer." But she is the beginning of when this started being used as widespread mocking of Spencer for not wrestling. It was relatively common knowledge that he didn't roll in the room much; he's been recovering from repeated surgeries. I believe Gilman expressed some sort of similar sentiment abut not rolling with Spencer in awhile.
  13. I will say that I've heard from a couple of people annoyed at me for my take on Penn State and NIl and asking something like "if I'm still going to be high and mighty when Nagao commits for the most money" insinuating that he's going to Iowa. Take that with a grain of salt.
  14. Thought about this conversation when I ended up on BWI today scouring for Nagao news and got these two gems randomly: https://pennstate.forums.rivals.com/threads/transfer-portal.291745/page-69 which included, in reference to Nagao wrestling with Spencer if he chooses Iowa: "The faux GOAT don't roll like that." and "Like some young upstart is going to be allowed to touch Lord Spencer in live wrestling at practice." I think you're underestimating the things said about Spencer.
  15. Why are you trying to bait me into an internet brawl?
  16. Always a dangerous game. Mineo being the loser that he is. Another poster on HR, gobblin, described it thusly "the information on this is a shitshow."
  17. Savage little knife in the story: "Carlson, who did not respond to a request for comment, has now been fired by all three cable news networks, having been pushed out from his previous stints at CNN and MSNBC."
  18. It is not "pure speculation." It's extrapolating based on evidence. His last words on Fox News were "see you Monday." He did not see them on Monday. Now, if you want "pure speculation", you could read your last sentence. P.S. Bill O'Reilly was too big to fail, also.
  19. It's objectively hilarious that Don Lemon doesn't even get to be the biggest news in cable firings on the day that salty bitch was fired.
  20. He ended his show last Friday with something like "see you next week." The videos are everywhere. He got fired.
  21. Good to know that God is an Iowa fan.
  22. I'm on the record from the old board, I operate from the assumption that most elite athletes are on gas.
  23. Can confirm, Willie is a good beer drinking companion.
