  1. No. My point is not that South Carolina shouldn't be allowed to divest themselves, it's that they're doing the same thing they're criticizing Disney for doing. Much like I think it's fine for Disney to choose to spend their money elsewhere, it's fine for SC to choose to spend their money elsewhere (though I would bet it's not so universally a popular position as the official mentioned thinks it is). I just find it hilarious that he's criticizing Disney for pulling it's money from Twitter (for Twitter doing something they didn't want to be associated with) and doing so by pulling his money away from a company for that company doing something he doesn't want to be associated with.
  2. So.....Disney should not be allowed to choose how they invest their money, but South Carolina should? Is that the State of South Carolina's position?
  3. Incredible. TDS is listening to the words he says and believing him.
  4. Rage is a leftist, socialist band. Elon is at least as much a part of the machine against which they (and similarly minded people) are raging as any individual in history, if not more. They are anti-US government, assuredly, but also anti-extreme wealth accumulation. Elon is the machine.
  5. 69% (nice) liberal, 31% conservative.
  6. The idea that the literal richest man on the planet isn't part of the machine....
  7. He literally did answer it, and it wasn't me asking him the question, it was his buddy.
  8. Lol. Truly amazing the lengths people will go to. He's asked if he's going to abuse his power for retribution, says "no except on day 1," then says other stuff about drilling and the idea is...what? He's so mind numbingly stupid that he thinks drilling is the same as retribution? Or that maybe, just maybe, the stuff he said about drilling is not an exhaustive list of his plans.
  9. So far, he's been asked if he'll be a dictator (he didn't actually answer at the time) and then, when asked a second time about abusing his power he said "only on day 1". Here's that second exchange: Even with Hannity running cover for him, he can't help himself.
  10. No. It's an invitation event, not an NCAA sanctioned championship, at least as I understand it.
  11. They would likely go out of their way to give him opportunities, like they did with Trump. Trump was only charged after repeated attempts to get the documents back and he had his lawyers falsely claim everything had been returned. It wasn't like "these documents are missing, file charges." If they have evidence of actual misrepresentations in writing (like from Trump's legal team) or if they find he's continuing to refuse to return documents, then they would charge him.
  12. Are you like Jonathan Turley's brother? You keep citing his opinion pieces as if they're facts or as if I should take his opinions, despite being repeatedly proven wrong, as gospel. This one was from October and literally nothing has happened from it.
  13. I think the actual "best" rivalry game is the Egg Bowl, personally, and I'm dead serious.
  14. Not about showing anybody anything. I'm making a personal choice, not organizing a boycott. Why would I watch a sporting contest that I don't believe is legitimate? If the game results don't matter, why should I watch the games?
  15. The bit lives!
  16. I'm not going to watch. The games don't matter, after all.
  17. Oh, damn. Woof, that sucks. Speedy recovery for Van Ness who really seemed to find something at NCAAs last year.
  18. Auburn is bad, except when they're playing Bama, in which case they're good because of "the rivalry" (intangible) but also, they're actually good because they have some close losses to good teams (other than New Mexico State, the second best team in a G5 conference who blew them out by 3 touchdowns the week before the Iron Bowl) which is now tangible.
  19. Alabama is undoubtedly the better program overall than FSU; this is sports, though, and the game results are what is supposed to control, otherwise there is no point in playing the games at all
  20. You guys are just shifting targets to suit you in the argument. It's tangible except where it's intangible.
  21. For any lawyer unconnected in the case to watch the lengths that the judge in NY is going to NOT sanction Trump for violating court orders, and then listen to conservatives claims he's the victim of a two-tiered justice system is remarkably laughable. I've seen defendant's literally physically gagged in court and jailed for not stopping talking in court when they've been ordered not to. With regards to his document case, they gave him like 6 warnings to return the documents and he just refused.
  22. You have no idea what you're talking about. I live 45 minutes from Gainesville. It is insane. I was at the game this year, the place was insane, loud, drunk, and several arrests were made. And that's why it gets rewarded in college football.... until this year when the SEC wasn't going to make it in, and instead they put two teams who were not able to do that in.
  23. Great, we agree. College teams will often struggle against lesser teams. Which is why going undefeated is so impressive.
  24. Now do the Arkansas game. And also, the exact same situation being held against FSU vs. the Gators.
  25. Yeah. Rankings they all "earned" by beating each other. A tautology of dominance. We're good because we beat SEC teams who are good because they're in the SEC.
