Davino remains ranked higher by the 2 main ranking services.  But the coaches must have put Jax in at #1, I believe he was not in the last set of coaches rankings at all.

He was ranked #4 in the last coaches ranking (end of Feb)

Really hoping to see a rematch between Jax and Seidel. I’m not entirely sure Jax wins that bout if it happens. The first match, won 10-9 by Jax, is a candidate for match of the year.

Don't think Seidel gets those first two TDs next time, Jax has improved a bunch since then and will be working on defending.  That said Seidel has a lot of options.

Thanks, missed that.  Then yeah it is a bit odd to jump Davino who hasn’t lost since and beat the #2

If someone else showed up finals at Cyclone he would've been looking at 15 if wrestled LR but plugging Ronnie in kept VT guessing however no way Jax was missing Seidel and Ayala.  He was also there for Frost but no show.

I agree that selfishly I wanted to see Jax/Blaze and Seidel/Davino in semis, but from an optimist's standpoint, now we will likely get a new matchup for all the marbles in the championship! And possibly one in the 3rd place match. Fun!

I think Davino #1 and Jax at #2 would have been the better way to seed it, but c’mon, this is not egregious like some people are making it sound. We have seen much worse seeds!

Davino 1 and jax 2 and no one would complain. The complaining alone is proof something is off. 

This is arguably the most anticipated and interesting weight at NCAAs this year and its vastly improved if the proper guy (Davino) gets the 1 seed. More interesting semis. More storyline in the final. They messed up the most anticipated weight class.
