This is arguably the most anticipated and interesting weight at NCAAs this year and its vastly improved if the proper guy (Davino) gets the 1 seed. More interesting semis. More storyline in the final. They messed up the most anticipated weight class.

Bummer they didn't give the #1 to Davino. 

To try and see the positive of the situation, if the top 4 make the semifinals then we are guaranteed a new matchup in the finals rather than a Forrest/Seidel final or Davino/Blaze final. And hopefully the other two meet on the backside. 

Pretty cool that the top 5 seeds at 133 are all freshman and 5 guys that will do some pretty big things over their careers.

Idk. Didn't Seidel have his foot in the air at the state tournament, too? It might just be a match up issue. He might not give up the tds but it's likely he gets to the leg.

What I dont think likely is Forrest missing that elbow again like he did on the first exchange. Looked like a one off.

Complaining is what we do on these forums, that's normal.  Jax also won his conference tournament against a very tough opponent and the score left no doubt.  The travesty isn't Jax seeded 1 its that Seidel didn't get the 2 or 3 seed.  Seidel won his conference and scored 9 points in his only loss, it makes him appear dangerous.  Two back and forth TB matches don't give folks (coach vote) a lot of confidence in who's the best.

I think Forrest will sharpen things up a bit, he's in college now.

Yeah. He was just off a few inches here and there that match. Rematch that misses elbow of the first exchange. He reached and just missed.

I think the 1st TD was a bit flukey and more of a Forrest mistake.  I think the 2nd and 3rd TDs were just Seidel being really good, and I'd expect Seidell to still be really good next week.

Both Jax and Seidel might have had the opportunity to wrestle Davino had they wrestled at NDI.    VT lost to Minnesota by 2, with Campbell getting only a decision at 133.   Had they won they would have wrestled tOSU.  OK State lost to Iowa by 2 and would have won if the 133 result was flipped, and would have wrestled tOSU in the finals.

I'm sure this has already been said, but I hate that they stuck all the B1G guys in in the bottom bracket, with the Big 12/ACC in the top.  Now the NCAAs are going to be a rehash of matches we've already seen until the finals. Oh well, at least consys will be fun.

Seidel isn't the same wrestler he was at the state tournament.  He was good, but lost to guys like A. Knox and DeLuca, and never really ran up the score on truly elite guys.  But now, Forrest aside, there's literally no one he hasn't absolutely destroyed, including past AAs. I don't think I've ever seen someone make such a big leap in a year as Seidel.
