Elam should for sure.  Who would have thought 2 years ago?  Welcome to the world of NIL.

Yeah, not a fan of how it's going.

Similar thing happened a month or two ago, I forget what dual it was. He was able to walk off the mat that time but for this to happen twice in a couple months is not a good sign, especially when the head contact doesn't seem anything out of the ordinary.

This describes me my frosh year in college in the early 70's.  I'd wake up in the emergency room with zero memory of what happened.  Would recover and be back to practice in a couple of days.  I'm not blaming anyone, it was what we did then.  We've come a long ways with head trauma knowledge.

I had several more concussions over the years.  One from a street fight that I was told I was winning, till I wasn't.  2 from mountain bike crashes, the last was 13 yrs ago.  My biggest fear is having my wife of 52 yrs dealing with a husband with dementia.  Guess I have an excuse for getting off topic and rambling time to time.

My guess is, if Anderson is dealing with concussion issues, his season could be over.  I wish him the best.

no offense intended but did it look like a real injury in the first match or precautionary withdrawal because he's got an at-large locked up.

I don't know that he even qualifies for an at-large.

If you remember two years ago, Starocci had to walk on to the mat for both of his Medical Fordeit losses at B1Gs.

Two years ago?

I would have taken Hawkes, bumping up from 184lbs, straight up.

Hawkes was R12, Bates NQ with a losing record.

Season or maybe even career at this point…I didn’t see the video of it but they said it was non contact during a scramble. If your brains rattling around like that you’ve got some serious issues going on…

I really do not think anyone is beating Jax the amount of ways he can score is freaking unreal.

And as expected J. Edmond comes out and wrestles like crap.  Barely beats a 5-12 guy in overtime and then looks pitiful in a quarterfinal loss.  Great call Smith.  Needs to take a lesson from Taylor and put the best guy in, and if that means bumping a senior out, tough sh!t.

100%   I'm sorry!  That BS about not being in contention for a trophy is nonsense too.  Where in the hell are we gonna be in the hunt again?  REALLY?

Start the best guys and the kids who actually work and wrestle!   So sick of Edmond and hey, great pick up in Bates....Hell, he took notes and followed Edmond....that is great leadership!  Time for Smith to go!

I think you misunderstood what I meant.  I guess I should have posted: "2 years ago, who would have guessed that both Elam and Hawkes would be gone from Mizzou and wrestling for other programs?"

Hawkes had some good wins, and of course, Rocky was multi AA.  It kind of blindsided the MU followers.  And let's not forget the Whiting hit the portal also.

Tornado delay hope everyone at the event stays safe.

Probably one of the safest places to be.  Tornado's not taking out BOK.

he won his first round match - i don't think this is a suriano situation by rule.

Oh!  Man, you're right on the money there.

Sorry for misunderstanding.

I didn't see he had two matches he stepped on the mat for.

Mums from me, then.

No worries.  I should do a better job of proof reading before I push the button.  It was a real issue back in my drinking days.  Sure don't miss that.

oh hmm i don't think he did for the QF - maybe he did for the consolation match to preserve his eligibility but i don't think he could if he failed the protocol

@SetonHallPirate has Zerban on the blotter but idk if that means he's DQd from at-large eligibility
