I use Flo and Trac for gathering scores for Pablo rankings, and sometimes there are formatting issues.  The biggest problem I find is that the scores are shown as tied.  Or are they mistakes?  I don't know if these are matches that went through all the tie-breaking and ended being decided by riding time (although I don't know, if that happens, is the final score listed as a tie or do they give the winning wrestler one point?)

Nonetheless, there have been a lot of matches this year that have been recorded as a tie score, even though someone won.  I could really use some help tracking these down, if anyone is willing and has some time to kill.  The format is, date of the match, weight, team and winning wrestler (whoever trac or flo called the winner), their score, and then the weight, team and losing wrestler (all these are ties).  If you know of the real answer, please reply.  I've got a couple of sets of data to keep it manageable

Works ok for duals (although it would nice to have obvious dates) but I can't access tournament results and that is most of them

It would be a pain but you could go through each wrestlers profile that provides all the info (score, date, etc)...Maybe reach out to cowcard or wrestleknownothing.  They've got the goods

That's why I asked here....if anyone wants to help I would appreciate it.

Cortez W  3-2 TB1

Seems like the X in <wrestler>:X is the points scored by the losing <wrestler>.  For what that is worth.

Are there examples of these where the difference was more than 1?  Like, the difference (as in the above examples)
being other than riding time?

Wrestlestat lists all MFF and DQ as 0-0

Nominally, Trac and Flo could do that, too (although not necessarily a tie) but they need to be flagged as MFF or DQ.  I know that a lot of the scores on the list are injury defaults that weren't specified as such (or it used a different format than my program was able to parse - this is the challege with Trac, I have to parse the outcome description and if something unusual shows up, the program doesn't handle it; Flo is a lot better in this regard)

When I look for outcomes in trac, I look for keywords like inj. or MFF, etc.  If they aren't included in the outcome, I will miss it.

If the winning wrestler has more points than the losing wrestler, it wouldn't get flagged.

I could look to see if there are TB1 or TB2 with differences >1, but then again, assuming that TB1 or TB2 refer to the 30 s periods, there is not limit.

In principle, there is a distinction between SV and TB, but I'm not sure if meet directors are consistent, so I don't make a distinction between them in Pablo.  I treat all overtime matches the same.

Thanks for your help.  I have seen a lot of these are indeed OT wins, but not all of them even.

I'm surprised no one has weighed in on Ferrari/Mirasola 🙂

@Pablo I love what you are doing, kindred spirits and all. Unfortunately I only have scores for the NCAA tournament. We have not begun tracking regular season stuff yet.

The 12/19 Markel Baker/Gabe Whisenhunt match was injury default win for Baker; Whisenhunt was knocked out when he landed on his head

The 2/6 Maximo Renteria/Damian Moreno match was injury default win for Renteria; Moreno was injured about 12 seconds into the match

Hastriter was injured and defaulted out of the Roadrunner open; both his matches from 11/23 where after he had injury defaulted out of the tournament

Thanks again for everyone's help.  I figured out a couple of things that are going on.

1) A lot of the matches I flagged here were actually indicated as SV/TB, etc in the original result.  Since Pablo doesn't care about scores in overtime matches, I don't have to worry about them and I shouldn't have included them

2) As many of you are catching, a lot of them are injury defaults.  I think I may have missed culling out that specific injury flag in Trac which is how they got through.  I think I flag things that are labelled inj. but maybe not the ones without the . or something like that.  Man, I wish trac was more consistent with its outcomes (ok, I wish it was more like Flo with the CSV download but even so, just consistent format would be helpful).  Unfortunately, trac is more complete in the coverage so I have to use it as a source

Someone tell me if I am interpreting this correctly (it might address a couple of the problems).  See Ferrari vs Mirasola.  Both Flo and trac have this as Ferrari winning with the score 1-1.  But flo has the play-by-play and we can use that.

First period is scoreless. Ferrari takes bottom in period 2, and gets an immediate escape.  Riding time 0.09 Mirasola at end of period 2.

Mirasola goes down in period 3, and doesn't escape until there are 11 seconds left.  So riding time goes to 1:40 for Ferrari.  The play-by-play does not have the 1 point for riding time, so it finished up at 2-1?

Can anyone confirm that result?  If so, that's great, problem solved.  There is at least one other match where I was able to figure out the same thing, a missing riding time point.

Both school SID websites show 2-1 but both school's opc show 1-1. And Nebraska pdf of results show 1-1 (probably taken from the opc).
