I'm not ruling it out but before I condemn PSU I'd need something more concrete than an anonymous source and a 53 second video clip that also mentions shadow organizations(also the anonymous source very well could have been him). If these things happened he should report it to law enforcement and I'd be more likely to believe it. This is coming from a guy who's generally anti-PSU.

Just found this which links the posts and you can watch without an Instagram account:

https://www.on3.com/boards/threads/daily-collegian-article-on-starrocci-allegations.1848446/page-25

I’ve only watched part of the first one so far.  Forget the exact words but he mentions he had an instance at worlds where he disrespected an opponent sexually and that caused him future issues.  Suffered from alcohol and substance abuse, got a DUI (side note: I guess several schools are able to keep that type of stuff on the down-low), went to AA, but then dealt with injures.  Says he was the anonymous source in the Bartlett article.

I think PSU is smugly complicit in a lot of corruption.....whatever mchenry is talking about sounds like a product of him being mentally ill.

Oddly convenient that his conspiracy nonsense was padded out with bizarre sexual and racial stuff which is guaranteed to catch headlines/social media attention. additionally odd that he couldn't name the names of his abusers or why he didn't do anything about it.

Penn State lost 12 people in the transfer portal last season, is there a possibility they were trying to avoid what was going on?

Just playing devils advocate, NCAA introduced the new roster limits this season as well so that may have played a role in why so many left

Agree, I still think PSU is a bunch of holier than thou weirdos that really at the end of the day just want to win at all costs. I don't see how anything McHenry is talking about maps back to PSU outside of vague accusations.

I’ll just throw it out there that a lot of people that are in abusive situations do not realize how bad it is until they get out of the abuse to a normal situation. Likewise, ex-cult members have a similar experience typically (and no I’m not necessarily saying PSU is a cult).

I'd be pretty upset if I experienced those things he claims.  I'd be more upset if rhe public assumed I was experiencing a break with reality when I spoke out about them.

Mentally ill are often targeted.   It doesnt have to be be either/or.  He can have problems and also have been mistreated.

How many PSU wrestlers need to come forward about sexual assault before this is taken seriously? There’s long been something unsettling about Cael and the secrecy surrounding his program, yet the wrestling media continues to look the other way.

PSU’s PR machine will be gearing up again, and I’m sure Pyles will release another awkward video dismissing it as “unsubstantiated,” just like he did when Bartlett made the same claims.

Even more damning that their coach grew up in a cult as well. Would be second nature to foster that environment into his wrestling team

I see this as a chicken or the egg situation

Either this guy is mental health issue that’s making him say these things about Penn State (and his other views on religion and freemasonry)

or

Penn State has a racist and frat like culture which has deteriorated his mental health, causing him to bring them up in unconventional manner

He’s not the first to say these things about Penn State, and where there’s smoke there’s a fire. I am inclined to believe him

So…… McHenry, Beau Bartlett, and Mark Hall all came out and said their was Sexual Assault in the locker room.

Kyle Synder gets cuaght with a prostitute.

Brendan Davis gets arrested and flees from the police.

Brooks gets a ban for supplemental abuse.

Also, there has been heavy implications that other PSU wrestlers were having supplemental abuse.

All of this news happens in the SAME year and people still try to cover PSU and say this is all a nothing burger ? I get that we are a small community but this stuff NEEDS to be talked about and addressed.

If this was ANY other program this would be on full display. There’s too many common patterns for this to be some false story about SA.

If you believe these allegations have merit you need to report this to the NCAA, ESPN, local and federal law enforcement, the Iowa athletics department for starters. I am being 100% serious. Get on it ASAP.

What the hell are you talking about? “Officer I need to report a crime. People talked about it in a website.”

Do you even bother to read the nonsense you type?

Show me what Mark Hall said. I missed that.

He didn’t.  He came out and said he was not the “Mark” in the article (the article then changed the name to something else), but did not comment on the allegations.

Let's all take a second and acknowledge that he sounds crazy and is also make some serious allegations. Good. Now everyone saying there is "victim blaming" going on can shut up.

It's hard to tell if McHenry has all his faculties. He is rambling, drawing parallels to the Knights Templar and Penn State, likens gay sex in secret organizations and ancient warrior culture to then Penn State wrestling team, says the coaches are in secret organizations, comments that the team banquet is full of Freemason's.

At the same time, people who go through trauma tend to have mental health issues.

Questioning his mental state is the obvious first thing to do here. Both can be true, but it is a bit discrediting when the person making the allegations seems like he is having a mental breakdown. It doesn't mean he is lying, but it's not "victim blaming."

Cut it off midway. Not buying it one bit. A PSU thread by a vehement anti PSU poster seems to have accomplished its goal. I never realized there were so many posters here who really hate PSU.

Bartlett had that thing against Carter Starocci last year. If I recall correctly, his wife was thought to have been one of the main drivers behind Bartlett's parting shot. Did anything come of that? Did law enforcement reign down on Carter Starocci? No on both counts.

Here is what happened in the months following that round of social media shots toward Starocci and Penn State:

1. The Big10 named Carter Starocci their Wrestler of the Year (after plenty of time had passed since the social media hit piece)

2. FloWrestling named Carter Starocci to their all quarter century team

3. Erie Pennsylvania named a street after Carter Starocci

A clickbait sh!!storm was created targeting Carter last year and it ended empty handed. Sending Kurt McHenry out their to repeat the story while invoking secret societies and Freemasons tragically seems more of the same.

I’m not saying I do or don’t believe McHenry and I’m sure like most things there are degrees of truth/severity. We’ll never know but we do know it keeps coming out of this program. Your saying he sounds crazy…others are saying that crazy might be a result of or exasperated by trauma. Wanting to these kids to be safe mentally and physically is not being a hater. Fantastic on the mat/results based team but clearly problems elsewhere in the organization…
