Are y’all doing this?

https://la28.org/en/ticketing.html

You can now register for a ticket draw to be held in April.  Do we need to do this? Or is wrestling such a joke that the re-sell market will be non-existent?  Might be some Iranian fans trying to go, but have a feeling we might get some under-market prices.  Thoughts? I may just register anyway.

LA has a ginormous Iranian community so they'll probably turn out like the did at the last UWW World Cup or whatever it was in LA. If you know anyone who lives in Southern California, get them to sign up for the ticket lottery. People who live in the local LA-area zip codes get early access to buy tickets.

It's the Olympics, tickets are going to be crazy scarce and crazy expensive secondhand. There is no way there's going to be under market prices, zero.

Try to get tickets any way you can, good luck!

More tickets will be available in future drops. Official resale site will launch next year, for those who want to avoid scams, etc.

Has anyone been able to get tickets during Drop 2?

No, wrestling wasn't listed in the sports dropdown for me

When was your buying window?   Might mean no tickets were available for that event given your filters.

It opened yesterday for me, I got in exactly at the opening time (4PM EST)

I had options like hockey, boxing, flag football, soccer, weight lifting, etc.. I did take a look now and most of those are gone

4pm EST?  The start times for the windows I’ve seen in drop 2 are all 10 Pacific Time which is 1 PM EDT.

I had some friends that were able to buy wrestling tickets during the pre-sale.  Those guys had a 10 PT window in the presale and another friend with a presale window of 16 PT the same day was not able to buy. No regular wrestling tickets were available only wheelchair tickets by 16:00 PT.

During the main drop 2 a couple friends with the window on the first day were able to buy wrestling tickets as well, so they refreshed the ticket inventory between the presale and the main drop.  Both friends had a 10 PT window on the 10th.

Your window should be for 48 hrs.  It might be worth it for you to log on at 1 EDT (about 45min from now) and see if anything is available in case they release additional tickets each day.  I’m hoping they do that as the window I was drawn isn’t for a couple more days.

Prices were the same as drop 1, but lower category tickets (B-D) were available.  At least for the visa presale and early in drop 2.

I don’t expect the price to change.

Unless I did my conversion wrong, from the email

Start: August 11, 2026 | 13:00 PT (24-hour clock)

End: August 13, 2026 | 13:00 PT (24-hour clock)

I did take a look now and boxing/weightlifting are back but no wrestling

Boo!

"Thank you for registering for the LA28 Olympic Ticket Draw*. Demand has been extraordinarily high, and you were not selected for a purchase time slot in this ticket drop."

Think I've had three drops and during each one no wrestling tix for any session were available. Checked the next day just to be safe. Same for my buddy, doesn't seem like it's in the cards for us this time.

Draw 2 came for me finally about 45 mins ago. Everything decent has been sold out but men's 1500 finals.

This feels like the appropriate place to go on a rant as LA28 is absolutely fumbling ticketing. This will be the 4th olympics I attend as a spectator (London to LA, minus Tokyo) and it has been the worst ticketing experience in both price and availability. My theory is LA28 is making the same backward attempt that FIFA made with the world cup, tying a majority of tickets to over priced and generally worthless hospitality packages in an effort to break even or make money. The number I have seen is $2.5 billion they are trying to do through ticketing and that doesn't happen without the inflated hospitality packages. If I can watch 8 days straight of wrestling overseas but can't get a single session living in the host country, that is an absolute and utter failure on the part of the organizers.

Edit: My wife and I both got in Draw 1, wife got in Draw 2 Visa presale, I got in Draw 2. No wrestling tickets.

We had Tokyo tix and went to Paris, but this one sure does feel like we've had no chance at actually getting tickets throughout this process.

Where in the Visa Presale and Draw 2 were your time slots?  I had friends that got the first available timeslot in both the Visa Presale (7/29 10PT) and the main drop 2 (8/10 10PT) and both were able to get tickets.  Everyone I know with later time slots in either the presale or the main drop 2 were not able to get wrestling tickets at any price point. Hospitality packages remain available.

No one should be surprised when tiks become available at a later point.

The pre-sale is the biggest rip off in ticketing. Panic buying with mostly expensive options.
