Zepeda/Sealey was really high caliber wrestling with both looking to attack.   Sealey hit a super duck late to take a 9-8 lead when Zepeda was injured.  Tried to continue but Sealey got the escape point for the injury time and Zepeda couldn't do anything injured in the last seconds.

I saw that on my replay... that was quick-quick!

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Zepeda injury defaulted.  Hope it's not too bad as he looks great.  Zepeda's Merkel off an ankle pick was one of the best takedown's I've seen this year.

Zepeda has had some very close matches with Bo Bassett as I recall. Kinda snakebit in the closing seconds of some matches.

Zapeda got injured with 20 seconds left while Sealey was taking him down. He continued and finished the match and lost 11-8. Not injury default

Zepeda has win over Bassett correct? Bo won series like 2 or 3 wins to 1.

He pinned Bo a couple years ago.  Bo has won the next 3.  1 was close the others weren't.

This was last spring's  U20 challenge tournament semis @ 65Kg:

65 - Bo Bassett, TMWC over Daniel Zepeda, DCA (TF 14-2 (2:12) )

Oh yeah... this was not one of the close ones, for sure.

Zepeda did not look good in his r16 match but I'm chalking that up to being out of competition for awhile as he looked great from there out. He is super undersized for 157 though, I expect to see him at 149 next year.

He wrestles like your 50 year old high school coach wrestled you as a 17 year old. Just baiting people into taking a bad shot and then… he scores.

I’d like to see him at 197 eventually. He’s going to be stronger than nearly everyone and can outscramble most 184s as it is.

After this finals match, I completely understand.

Also, classic 23 minutes of actual time match there.
